摘要: A semiconductor device capable of reducing a fabrication period as well as a fabrication cost when timing control for signal transmission is necessary is obtained. This semiconductor device comprises a first semiconductor chip consisting of at least either a circuit against static damage or a passive component. When a plurality of semiconductor chips installed on a support substrate are connected with each other through the first semiconductor chip, timing control for signal transmission is enabled by simply modifying the first semiconductor chip. In this case, the first semiconductor chip having a relatively simple structure can be modified in a shorter time at a lower cost as compared with a case of re-forming a semiconductor chip having an individual function. Thus, the modification period as well as the modification cost can be reduced when timing control for signal transmission is necessary.

摘要: An electro-optical element includes a core layer made of an electro-optical material, a clad structure disposed on each of opposite sides of the core layer and configured to form an optical waveguide together with the core layer, and a pair of electrode layers, one of which being disposed on one side of the clad structure and another being disposed on another side of the clad structure. The clad structure includes a first clad layer and a second layer. The second clad layer has a dielectric permittivity larger than that of the first clad layer, and the second clad layer has a thickness thicker than that of the first clad layer.

摘要: In attachment structure for motor assembly, accommodating portion with a bottom is formed in housing such that the motor assembly including commutator motor and brush holder unit is accommodated therein with the brush holder unit facing downward. Receiving portion for positioning the brush holder unit is formed in the accommodating portion. Abutment portion is formed on the brush holder unit for positioning between stator and the brush holder unit. The motor assembly is positioned within the accommodating portion such that the brush holder unit is in contact with the receiving portion and that the stator and the brush holder unit are brought into contact with each other through the abutment portion. Fixing member is inserted from an open side of the housing, brought into contact with the stator, and fixed to the housing, so that the motor assembly is interposed between the fixing member and the receiving portion.

摘要: A print data conversion area can be created to reflect that all printed slips are not the same size. A printer includes a conveyance unit that conveys checks with one edge following a guide extending in the conveyance direction, a length detection unit that detects the length of the conveyed check in the conveyance direction, and a conversion area formation unit that creates a print data conversion area to which print data for the entire image to be recorded on the check is written. The conversion area formation unit determines the range of the conversion area with reference to a position corresponding to a particular position on the check using the detected length of the check in the conveyance direction.

摘要: An image correction apparatus and method enable correcting an image so that the image is always discernible and at least text can be read regardless of user settings. A correction range that increases the gray level and a correction range that decreases the gray level are calculated for each image to calculate the correction range suitable for the particular image.

摘要: A color reduction processing apparatus and method that is simple to configure and adjust produces two-color print image data reflecting the impression of the original full-color image. Each pixel in a full-color image is converted to binarized principal and secondary color print data by principal and secondary color processors respectively using respective threshold value matrices. The threshold values of these matrices, which are calculated from a reference threshold value matrix stored in memory, can be adjusted, via adjustment values, to control the overall density of the principal and secondary colors. The adjustment values can be set in a matrix configuration unit. The binarized principal and secondary color print data can also be further corrected by correction and/or filtering operations performed by a correction processor.
