    摘要： A recording and replaying apparatus includes a drive controller which is connected to an optical disk drive and a disk information storage buffer which stores use conditions for an optical disk. When use conditions corresponding to identification information of the optical disk are stored in the disk information storage buffer, the drive controller instructs the optical disk drive to execute first adjustment processing. Whereas when use conditions corresponding to the identification information of the optical disk are not stored in the disk information storage buffer, the drive controller instructs the optical disk drive to execute second adjustment processing.

    摘要： A recording method for recording, on a write once type information recording medium, management information representing a recording state of the write once type information recording medium is provided. The information recording medium includes data including a first synchronization signal. The information recording medium has a second synchronization signal pre-recorded by cutting. The recording method includes the steps of (a) performing a recording operation for recording the management information at a predetermined position of the information recording medium based on the first synchronization signal; (b) determining whether the recording operation in step (a) is normally terminated or not; and (c) when the recording operation in step (a) is not normally terminated, performing a recording operation for recording the management information at the predetermined position of the information recording medium based on the second synchronization signal.

    摘要： A digital filter performs a convolution calculation on each of successively updated sets of N stored data values, with the calculation including multiplying each data value by a specific corresponding one of a set of N filter coefficients, wherein the N filter coefficients are respectively held in a first continuous sequence of storage locations and at least (N−1) of the filter coefficients are also respectively held in a second continuous sequence of storage locations, with these sequences constituting a single continuous sequence of storage locations from which the N filter coefficients are consecutively read out during a convolution calculation.

    摘要： A vehicular electronic control system includes multiple electronic control units (ECUs) to which a tester is connectable for diagnosis. Each ECU stores a vehicle identifying number (VIN) code that is transmitted to the tester for providing various kinds of information on a vehicle. A priority level is assign to each ECU so that the ECUs transmit the VIN code in order of precedence when the ECU having higher priority is unable to transmit the VIN code when another ECU has not transmitted the VIN code. Moreover, each ECU monitors a communication line when received a VIN code transmission request from the tester and detects an output indicative the VIN code sent from another ECU to the tester. When the ECU has detected the output, it terminates the VIN code transmission and do not transmits the VIN code to the tester.

The recording/reproducing device of the present invention is a recording/reproducing device which records and reproduces information, including: a tuner control unit 4 which obtains first information; a recording/reproduction control unit 13 which records, in an HDD 15, the first information obtained by the tuner control unit 4, and records, in an optical disc held in the optical disc drive 14, second information which is information having the same content as the first information; a CPU 5 which invalidates the second information; and a user input control unit 9 which receives an instruction requesting the first information recorded in the HDD 15 to be recorded in the optical disc. In the case where the user input control unit 9 receives the instruction, the CPU 5 validates the invalidated second information.
