摘要： An electronic device may have electronic device housing structures in which electronic components such as integrated circuits and connectors may be mounted. The electronic device housing structures may include an upper housing having a planar upper surface member and four perpendicular housing sidewall structures. The housing sidewall structures of the upper housing may have edges that form a rectangular opening with curved corners. A lower housing may have structures forming a rectangular lip that is configured to be received within the rectangular opening in the upper housing. Engagement structures such as inwardly protruding hook structures on the upper housing and snap structures on the rectangular lip may be used in attaching the upper and lower housings. The snap structures may each have a rectangular main opening and lateral extension portions that extend the width of the main opening along the edge of the lip.

摘要： An electronic device may have a housing in which electronic components are mounted. The electronic components may be mounted to a substrate such as a printed circuit board. A heat sink structure may dissipate heat generated by the electronic components. The housing may have a housing wall that is separated from the heat sink structure by an air gap. The housing wall may have integral support structures. Each of the support structures may have an inwardly protruding portion that protrudes through a corresponding opening in the heat sink structure. The protruding portions may each have a longitudinal axis and a cylindrical cavity that lies along the longitudinal axis. Each of the support structures may have fins that extend radially outward from the longitudinal axis.

One example may provide a signal path for conveying a signal that is active when a good or device is removed from a retail or other environment in an authorized manner. The signal path may be wired or wireless. In another example, a signal path for a sensor may be inconspicuously combined with a power cable. In another example, theft misidentifications may be prevented by not relying on connections that a customer is likely to interact with to detect a theft. Another example may provide a security device that may allow a high degree of customer interaction by unobtrusively attaching a sensor to the back of a good to be protected.

摘要： Various embodiments of digital signage systems and docking stations are described. In one embodiment, a digital signage system includes an electronic device having a rear surface and an opposing front surface at which a display of the electronic device may be viewed. The system also includes a body for supporting the electronic device. A recessed region is formed in the body from a top surface of the body, and the electronic device is positioned within the recessed region such that the rear surface of the electronic device fits entirely within the recessed region and the front surface of the electronic device is substantially flush with a portion of a top surface of the body that surrounds the recessed region. An aperture may be formed at least partially through the recessed region for receiving a cable assembly operable to connect to the electronic device. An elongated cutout may also be formed, extending from the aperture to an edge or edge surface of the body, and sized so that an insulated wire of the cable assembly can extend from the aperture to the edge or edge surface of the body.

摘要： An electronic device may have electronic components enclosed within a plastic housing. The plastic housing may include housing members that are joined using heat activated thermoset polymer film. The heat activated thermoset polymer film may be heated using a metal structure such as a strip of metal that is placed along a joint between the housing members. The temperature of the metal strip and associated layers of the thermoset polymer film may be raised by applying current to the metal strip using an external tool or the electronic components within the housing. Heat activated thermoset polymer film may be heated using a reactive multilayer metal foil. Heat sink layers of metal may be interposed between the reactive multilayer metal foil and the thermoset polymer film. A heated metal ring or a heated edge portion of a plastic housing member may also be used to heat the thermoset polymer film.
