Abstract:
In order to ensure consistently good maceration of biological material in an electroporation reactor, it is proposed to monitor the conductivity of the mixture therein and to detect any arcing which occurs therein. The results of such monitoring are used to modify the operating voltage of the electroporation reactor and/or the composition of the mixture located in the reactor channel.
Abstract:
A method for hardening a coating of an object, more particularly a car body. A conveyor system moves the object to the proximity of a radiator and moves it away from said radiator with at least one transport cart that can be translationally moved on at least one running surface. A support frame for the object is fixed to the transport cart in order to rotate or pivot the object about a rotational or pivoting axis extending crosswise relative to the translational movement and independently thereof so that all areas of the surface can be exposed to approximately the same amount of radiation.
Abstract:
An apparatus for air treatment includes at least one reservoir which can be filled with a liquid, an air-conveying device and a device which ensures that for the treatment of the air to be treated the air comes into contact with at least a part of the liquid. A circulating device is provided, by which liquid in the reservoir is conveyed in a circuit out of the reservoir and back into the latter. For the purpose of sterilising the liquid, a device for mechanico-physical opening of cell membranes, for instance by electroporation or cavitation, is provided in the circuit. Such an apparatus can also be used for purifying exhaust air in a surface treatment installation.
Abstract:
A surface treatment system, particularly for painting, coating, drying and the associated preparation of metallic or nonmetallic objects, contains a circuit, in which a liquid is circulated. In order to sterilize the liquid, the invention provides that a device for mechanically/physically opening cell membranes is integrated in the circuit. The germs can be removed while not creating strains resistant to the sterilization.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device (10) for hardening an UV varnish and thermohardening varnish or the similar for coating an object, in particular a motor car body (12) comprising at least one emitter (48, 48″) generating electromagnetic radiation. The inventive device is provided with a conveying system (14, 16) which conveys the object (12) closely to the emitter (48, 48″) and, afterwards removes it. Said conveying system comprises an overhead travelling carriage (16) which is translatory displaceable along at least one guideway (14) suspended above at least one emitter (48, 48″). Two suspension supports (66) extending downwards and making it possible to suspend the object (12) are arranged successively in a longitudinal direction (85) on a chassis (50) of the travelling carriage (16). The length of said suspension supports is individually modifiable with the aid of a motor.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for hardening a coating of an object, more particularly a car body (12), said coating consisting of UV paint, a thermally hardening paint or the like. The device comprises at least one radiator (58, 60a, 60b, 62a, 62b) producing electromagnetic radiation. A conveyor system (14, 16, 46) that moves the object (12) to the proximity of the radiator (58, 60a, 60b, 62a, 62b) and moves it away from said radiator is also provided. The conveyor system (14, 16) comprises a lifting car (46; 461) with a running gear (50) having a lift platform (54) for receiving the object (12), whose height relative to the running gear (50) can be adjusted by means of a motor. The at least one radiator (58, 60a, 60b, 62a, 62b) is arranged in such a manner that the lifting car (46; 461) and the object (12) located thereon can be guided through under the at least one radiator (58, 60a, 60b, 62a, 62b), wherein the vertical position of the object (12) can be changed. This makes it possible to also place objects (12) with very uneven and three-dimensionally curved surfaces in the irradiation area of the radiator (58, 60a, 60b, 62a, 62b) in such a way that the surfaces are evenly exposed to the amount and intensity of radiation required for hardening.
Abstract:
A method and device for separating overspray from the cabin exhaust air of coating systems which is laden with overspray, wherein the overspray is taken up by an air flow and conveyed to an electrostatically operating separating device. There, the bulk at least of the solids is separated from the overspray at a separating area of at least one separating surface. A cohesive material web is used as a separating agent, which is disposed at least partly along the separating area of the at least one separating surface and during operation of the separating device is electrically conductive at least in the separating area of the at least one separating surface.
Abstract:
A device for separating paint overspray from the cabin exhaust air of painting systems which is laden with overspray having at least one separating surface, on which the cabin exhaust air can be guided along and which is electrically conducting and connected to a pole of a high voltage source. An electrode device arranged in the air stream is associated with the separating surface and connected to the other pole of the high voltage source. Paint overspray is transported away from the separating surface by an electrically conducting separating fluid, which can be fed to the separating surface and flows over the separating surface so that a large part at least of the solids pass from the cabin exhaust air flowing past into the separating fluid.
