    摘要: Electrically isolated, deep trench isolation (DTI) structures, are formed in a wafer, and a portion of the DTI structures are converted to electrically connected structures to provide a shielding function, or to provide connection to deep buried layers. In one aspect, DTI structures include a polysilicon filling over a liner layer disposed on the inner surface of a deep trench, the polysilicon is removed by isotropic etching, and the deep trench is re-filled with a conductive material. Alternatively, the polysilicon filling remains and a contact is formed to provide an electrical connection to the polysilicon. In another aspect, a deep trench is disposed in the wafer such that a lower portion thereof is located within a deep buried layer, and after the polysilicon is removed, an anisotropic etch removes a portion of the deep trench liner from the bottom of the deep trench, thereby allowing a tungsten deposition to make electrical contact with the deep buried layer.

    摘要: The invention relates to an illumination device connectable to an AC voltage source for applying an alternating voltage during a series of time intervals. The illumination device comprises at least a first light source and a second light source, arranged to be connected in series to the AC voltage source, to generate a luminance output in response to the alternating voltage. Selection means are provided configured for selectively applying the alternating voltage over the first light source or the first and second light source. A controller is provided for controlling the selection means in response to a data signal comprising data symbols such that one or more of the data symbols are contained in said luminance output. The invention also relates to a method of embedding one or more data symbols in the luminance output of such an illumination device, an optical receiver and an illumination system.

The LED strings are driven by very simple circuitry that can be supplied by mains supply voltage. Due to the phase shift stroboscopic effects are suppressed.

    摘要: There is provided a method for advanced configuration and initialization of a luminaire system. The luminaire system comprises one or more lighting devices (102), an apparatus (104) and a user interface (106). The apparatus comprises a light sensor. One or more of the lighting devices are not connected to a central controller by means of a wired/wireless connection. Therefore, techniques and procedures to use manual interaction by an operator (114) to control these lighting devices are proposed. The proposed techniques enable backward compatible and low-cost implementations of advanced luminaire initialization and configuration. Moreover, this invention proposes to combine the user input, sensing and control functionality into one device, thereby reducing the total cost of implementation and ownership of the proposed system. A corresponding system and apparatus are also presented.
