    摘要： A transmitting system and a method of transmitting digital broadcast signal are disclosed. The method of transmitting digital broadcasting signal in a transmitter includes encoding mobile data for forward error correction to build RS frames, wherein the RS frames includes the mobile data belonging to ensembles, each ensemble being a collection of services providing same quality of service, encoding signaling data including binding information between the ensembles and the services, forming data groups, forming mobile data packets including data in the data groups, wherein each mobile data packet include an additional mobile data packets, interleaving data in the mobile data packets, wherein a fifth region of each data group includes the additional mobile data packets, transmitting the interleaved data, wherein the signaling data includes an identifier indicating a number of ensembles transmitted through a data group having the fifth region.

    摘要： A method and apparatus for transmitting a broadcast signal in a transmitter are disclosed. The apparatus includes an RS encoder 212 configured to encode mobile data for forward error correction (FEC), a group formatter 214 configured to form a data group using (or including) the encoded mobile data and known data sequence, a packet formatter 216 configured to form a specified number of mobile data packets and a first scalable number of mobile data packets by using the data included in the data group, a packet multiplexer (MUX) 120 configured to multiplex the formed mobile data packets and a second scalable number of main data packets, a data interleaver 1502 configured to interleave data of the multiplexed data packets, and a transmission unit 170 configured to transmit the interleaved data. Herein, the known data are spotted in the interleaved data.

    摘要： A transmitting system, a receiving system, and a method of processing broadcast signals are disclosed. Herein, the transmitting system includes an RS frame encoder, a block processor, a group formatter, and a trellis encoding module. The RS frame encoder performs error correction encoding on an RS frame payload including mobile service data so as to form an RS frame, divides the RS frame into a plurality of portions, and outputs the divided RS frame portions. The block processor performs one of ½-rate encoding and ¼-rate encoding on each bit of the mobile service data included in each portion. The group formatter maps a portion including symbols of the ¼-rate encoded mobile service data and symbols of the ½-rate encoded mobile service data to a corresponding region of a data group. And, the trellis encoding module performs trellis encoding on the symbols of the ¼-rate encoded mobile service data and the symbols of the ½-rate encoded mobile service data of the data group.

The method of transmitting digital broadcasting signal in a transmitter includes forming a data group including mobile data, known data sequences, trellis initialization data bytes, wherein the known data sequences are sequentially concatenated with the trellis initialization bytes, interleaving data in the data group, wherein the data group includes a plurality of data blocks and scalable data blocks, wherein the known data sequences inserted in a predetermined area of the data group, trellis encoding on the interleaved data and initializing memories for the trellis encoding using initial bits of the trellis initialization data bytes in the interleaved data, wherein the initial bits of the trellis initialization data bytes are calculated using exclusive or operation with predetermined memory values of the memories for the trellis encoding, transmitting a broadcast signal including the trellis encoded data during a slot.

    摘要： A method of processing a digital broadcast signal in a transmitter includes encoding signaling information including a transmission parameter channel, including transmission parameters and a fast information channel (FIC) including cross layer information for mobile service acquisition, and transmitting the broadcast signal including ensembles including the encoded signaling information. The FIC is divided into FIC segments, each FIC segment including a FIC segment header and a FIC segment payload. The FIC segment header includes type information indicating a type of the FIC segment, the FIC further including a first ensemble identifier identifying a specific ensemble including a service map table (SMT). The SMT includes a header including a second ensemble identifier corresponding to the first ensemble identifier, a payload including service acquisition information of the specific ensemble, and IP access information of a mobile service for acquiring an IP datagram of the mobile service from the specific ensemble.
