摘要: An evacuation sheath assembly and method of treating occluded vessels which reduces the risk of distal embolization during vascular interventions is provided. A method of treating a lesion within a blood vessel, includes providing an evacuation sheath assembly having a multi-lumen tube with proximal and distal ends, first and second lumens therebetween, and at least one sealing surface mounted on the distal end of the multi-lumen tube. The evacuation sheath assembly is advanced to a region of interest within a blood vessel. The sealing surface is deployed upstream of the region of interest to occlude antegrade flow adjacent to the lesion to be treated. A dilation catheter is advanced through the multi-lumen tube such that the dilation balloon is positioned across the lesion and the lesion is dilated. Suction is applied to induce retrograde blood flow to carry dislodged embolic material into a lumen of the evacuation sheath assembly.

摘要: An evacuation sheath assembly and method of treating occluded vessels which reduces the risk of distal embolization during vascular interventions is provided. A method of treating a blood vessel, includes providing an elongate member having proximal and distal ends, a lumen therebetween, the distal end having a braided sheath expandable between a reduced and expanded diameter, and a fluid-tight covering. The elongate member is advanced into a blood vessel that supplies blood to the heart. The braided sheath is expanded to engage the endoluminal surface of the blood vessel and stop antegrade flow.

摘要: A device and method wherein a thermo electric generator device is disposed between stacks of a multiple level device, or is provided on or under a die of a package and is conductively connected to the package. The thermo electric generator device is configured to generate a voltage by converting heat into electric power. The voltage which is generated by the thermo electric generator can be recycled back into the die itself, or to a higher-level unit in the system, even to a cooling fan.

摘要: A pad groove analyzer and associated method configured to assess the grooves on the pad and determine how worn the pad is. The pad groove analyzer may be configured to monitor the grooves via a contact or no-contact process. In a contact process, the pad groove analyzer may include a stylus which physically contacts and moves along the pad. As the stylus falls into the grooves in the pad as the stylus moves along the pad, signals are created, and a stylus monitor uses the signals to determine to what extent the pad is worn. The stylus monitor can be configured to communicate with the general tool controller. In a no-contact process, the pad groove analyzer may take several different forms.

摘要: An electropolishing pad adapted for thinning a layer on a substrate, without damaging a delicate underlying layer in the substrate. The electropolishing pad includes a pad formed of an electrically conductive material, for applying a desired voltage potential through the electropolishing pad to electrolytically erode the layer on the substrate. An operating surface on the pad physically erodes the layer on the substrate. The operating surface has a roughness that is not so great as to create friction sufficient to induce a shearing force that damages the delicate underlying layer in the substrate, but great enough so as to physically erode the layer on the substrate.

摘要: An in vivo source of mechanical energy is provided in close proximity to its load. In the disclosed embodiments, the mechanical energy source is a miniaturized motor (“micromotor”) and the load is a miniaturized perfusion pump located at the distal end of a transluminal catheter. The motor is powerful enough to provide the electrical energy needed by the perfusion pump to fluid, and yet small enough to fit inside a body vessel. A position sensor may be provided for automatically controlling the motor's driving current so that it is corresponds to the applied load. An embodiment of the perfusion pump is also provided in which an external energy source is used. Another embodiment is provided wherein a balloon/pump/miniaturized-motor configuration is provided on a distal end of a catheter.

摘要: Provided are systems and methods for overcoming optical errors occurring from reticle and other hardware usage in a semiconductor fabrication apparatus. The systems and methods minimize optical errors, such as those resulting from gravitational sag on a reticle or mask, for a pattern being projected onto a wafer. The reduced errors allow larger reticles and masks to be used—while maintaining optical accuracy; and also improve optical budget management.

摘要: An evacuation sheath assembly and method of treating occluded vessels which reduces the risk of distal embolization during vascular interventions is provided. A method of treating a lesion within a blood vessel, e.g., a coronary artery, includes advancing a sheath into the blood vessel, the sheath having a lumen extending to a port at a distal end of the sheath and further having an occlusive member within a distal region of the sheath. The occlusive member is then positioned within the blood vessel proximal to the lesion. Subsequently, the occlusive member is deployed, thereby stopping antegrade flow across the lesion. A contrast agent can then be infused through a port in the sheath. A dilation balloon is then advanced across the lesion. Suction is then applied to the lumen to induce retrograde flow across the lesion after dilating the lesion.
