A method of producing an aminobutene derivative of formula (I) by allowing a butenol derivative of formula (II) to react with an amide derivative of formula (III) is disclosed. The aminobutene derivative of formula (I) can be deprotected to produce an aminobutene derivative of formula (I-1) or an aminobutene derivative of formula (I-2): ##STR1## The aminobutene derivative of formula (I-A) can also be deprotected to produce the aminobutene derivative of formula (I-B). Any or all of the above aminobutene derivatives are useful as intermediates for producing anti-ulcer drugs, and anti-ulcer drugs having an inhibitory effect on gastric acid secretion based on the antagonism against histamine H.sub.2 receptor.

Provided is a film having a low refractive index, which can be formed under normal temperature and pressure while obtaining a lower refractive index, has excellent adhesion with a solid substrate, and does not lose geometric optical properties, such as the diffusibility or light-harvesting capability attributed to the microstructure. Also disclosed is a method for producing the same. The film having a low refractive index is obtained by causing an electrolyte polymer and microparticles to be alternately adsorbed on the surface of a solid substrate and bringing the resulting microparticle-laminated film into contact with a silicon compound solution in order to bond the solid substrate with microparticles and microparticles with microparticles. The silicon compound solution is selected from (1) the hydrolysis product of alkoxysilane (I) wherein the functional groups are formed from hydrolyzable groups and non-hydrolyzable organic groups, and the condensation reaction product thereof, (2) the hydrolysis product of a mixture of alkoxysilane (I) and alkoxysilane (II) wherein the functional groups are formed from hydrolyzable groups alone, and the condensation reaction product thereof; and (3) a mixture of hydrolysis product and condensation product thereof according to (1) and alkoxysilane (II).

The present invention further provides the aforementioned adhesive preparation, wherein the organic liquid component is contained in the adhesive layer in a proportion of 20 wt % or above relative to the total weight of the adhesive layer.

The present invention provides new acylsulfonamide derivatives such as 4-(3-trifluoromethyl)phenylethynyl-N-(2-(5-ketohexanoylamino)sulfonylphenyl)benzamide, 4-(3-trifluoromethyl)phenylethynyl-N-(2-(2-propyloxyacetylamino)sulfonylphenyl)benzamide or analogues thereof. These acylsulfonamide derivatives have a hypoglycemic effect equal to or superior to the effects of the conventional hypoglycemic agents and they are free from the side effects unlike the glitazone compounds.

The detector 3 includes an asymmetric resistor circuit that is asymmetrically constructed with respect to the reference point 8A. The detector 3 detects the voltage of the auxiliary point 8B with respect to the reference point 8A in a load driven state. A disconnection detecting circuit 20 compares the detected voltage with a reference voltage of the auxiliary point 8B with respect to the reference point 8A not in the load driven state, and determines that the line 9 is disconnected in the load driven state if the deviation of the detected voltage from the reference voltage falls out of a predetermined range.
