摘要： An information playback method includes reading out information from an information recording medium storing a stream which includes meta data of a moving picture capable of being played back upon playback of a video content and which is formed of access units as data units capable of being processed independently, and storing initialization information which includes buffer size information that designates a size of a buffer used upon playback of the meta data, and playing back the video content, and playing back the meta data with designating the size of the buffer on the basis of the buffer size information included in the initialization information.

From the meta data stream, one of a plurality of access units AUs is selected, the access units being determined to be the same objects by the object_id and being determined to be the same scene by the object_subid, and the selected access unit AU is used to search for an object.
