摘要： A system for controlling an automobile cooling fan utilizes a temperature-sensitive negative resistance device having a resistance which decreases as the temperature rises, and which increases as the temperature falls. Thus, if the cooling water temperature does not exceed a certain level, the cooling fan motor is not driven. If the temperature exceeds a certain level, the cooling fan motor is driven in proportion with the dynamic temperature variations. Therefore, a variable cooling fan speed is possible, and therefore, the cooling operation becomes efficient.

Video and audio data are transmitted and received between the DVC and the computer through the interface, and various control data for controlling the DVC and environment setting data are also transmittable from the computer to the DVC. Where the computer transmits the environment setting data to the DVC, the DVC stores the received data in a storage portion. Accordingly, without complicated manipulation of a plurality of keys on the DVC, a user easily inputs data related to the environment setting of the DVC from the computer. Where time data is provided to the DVC from a time standard, accurate current time according to the time standard is recorded on a magnetic tape during recording.

摘要： A solar cell power source device is disclosed which optimizes the power output of the solar cell by detecting a maximum power point of the solar cell and controlling the duty cycle of a switching transistor in a switching power converter such that the output current of the solar cell follows the maximum power point. Also shown is a pulse width modulation controller which multiplies the output voltage of the solar cell by the output current of the solar cell to obtain a power detecting signal, samples the power detecting signal during two different sample periods to determine if the power output is decreasing, and modulating the pulses output to the switching transistor of the switching power converter in order to maintain the power output of the solar cell at the maximum power point.

摘要： A combination system commonly using a set-up value with regard to plural devices. The combination system has an input unit to input the set-up value, plural set-up value storage units to store the input set-up value, and a controller to control a set-up value storage operation with respect to the set-up value storage units. A user inputs the set-up value as data about an operation mode of each of the devices through the input unit. The controller judges whether the set-up value input into one of the devices is the same type value as a pre-set up value with regard to another device. When the set-up value is determined to be the same type value, then the controller sets up the pre-set up value as a common set-up value with regard to the plural devices. Accordingly, the user does not have to input the set-up value individually for each of the devices.

摘要： A device and method to output recorded program schedule information as a voice message in a programmed recording system using transmitted schedule data. The device includes a video reproducing portion for playing back a tape which stores a video signal having the schedule data and outputting a composite video signal, a schedule data processing portion for separating the schedule data from the video signal output from the video reproducing portion and decoding the separated data, a conversion portion for converting the separated schedule data into a voice signal, a speaker for outputting the voice signal, and a microcomputer controller for controlling the schedule data processing portion and the voice combining portion. The method includes the steps of positioning a tape at a starting position; sensing a video index search system (VISS) signal recorded on the tape, reproducing a video signal recorded on the tape at normal speed when the VISS signal is sensed, separating the schedule data from the reproduced video signal and extracting the schedule data, and converting and outputting the extracted schedule data as a voice message. Accordingly, a user can easily confirm recording information such as the title of a program, the broadcast station identification (ID) of the program, the recording date and time.

The fixing member includes a ring-shaped intermediate member one end part of which is welded under one end part of the bellows member, and the other end part of which is extended to be overlapped with the end part of the interlock member and provided with spiral protuberances to be fitted into the spiral grooves of the interlock member. Thereby, the service life of the connecting means is extended and product reliability is improved.
