摘要: A process planning apparatus extracts a region to be machined based on the difference of the shape data before and after machining of the workpiece, replaces the extracted region into combinations of the predetermined machining features, allocates a predetermined fixed cycle to each of the replaced machining features, and applies an assessment function relating to a machining time and a life of the end mill to each of the combinations of the machining features to which the fixed cycles are respectively allocated, thereby selecting a group of the fixed cycles which makes an assessment value obtained by the assessment function optimum as the optimal process. By these steps, it becomes possible to design the process for causing the NC machine employing end mills as a cutting tool to perform a predetermined machining of a workpiece without relying on the experience of the designer, and without necessitating complicated work.

摘要: A select-shock control system of an automotive automatic transmission is shown. The transmission has an engaging element which becomes engaged due to application of hydraulic pressure thereto when it is needed to shift the transmission from a neutral condition to a drive condition. The control system comprises a select determination section which determines whether or not the transmission should be actually shifted from the neutral condition to the drive condition; an accelerator pedal depression sensing section which senses depression of an accelerator pedal; and a control section which, when the accelerator pedal depression sensing section senses the depression of the accelerator pedal just after determination of the drive condition from the neutral condition by the select determination section, raises obliquely the hydraulic pressure from a first lower level which was kept before depression of the accelerator pedal to a second higher level corresponding to the degree by which the accelerator pedal has just been depressed.

摘要: A downshift control device for an automatic transmission is provided in which a drive command is generated to a shift actuator when a shift command to change a gear ratio of the transmission is generated, to switch a shift valve and change oil paths, thereby to release a first engaging element that has been engaged in a first gear position established by the automatic transmission before the shifting operation, and engage a second engaging element that has been released in the first gear position, so as to establish a second gear position after the shifting operation. This downshift control device includes a pedal-depressed downshifting determining means for determining whether the automatic transmission is to be shifted down due to depression of an accelerator pedal, a delay time setting means for setting a delay time that ensures an increase of an engine speed due to depression of the accelerator pedal, and a shift valve operating timing control means for generating the drive command for switching the shift valve to the shift actuator when the delay time elapses after the pedal depressed downshifting determining means determines that the transmission is to be shifted down due to depression of the accelerator pedal.

摘要: Print control information containing information on a print reference position, print area designation region, and print medium, and image data corresponding to the print area designation region are received via an I/F. An MPU determines the print reference position concerning printing of the image data on the basis of the print control information. The rejection amount of image data which is not used for printing but is rejected out of the image data is calculated on the basis of the determination result, the print area designation region, and the printable region of the print medium. Image data corresponding to the calculated rejection amount is rejected from the image data. Printing of the image data is controlled using image data which is not rejected.

摘要: A gear shift control apparatus for use with an automatic transmission including a friction element operable on a hydraulic pressure applied thereto in an engaged and disengaged state. A gear ratio obtained in the automatic transmission is calculated based on transmission input and output shaft speeds. A reference gear ratio is set based on at least one of the transmission input and output shaft speeds. The hydraulic pressure is changed from a first level to a second level to change the friction element from the disengaged state to the engaged state so as to produce a change from a higher gear to a lower gear when the gear ratio reaches the reference gear ratio. The reference gear ratio increases as at least one of the transmission input and output shaft speeds increases. Alternatively, the reference gear ratio may be set at a smaller value as the rate of change of the gear ratio increases.

摘要: In a printing apparatus which prints by serial scanning, a control command and image data formed from a plurality of rasters as a unit that are received from a connected host apparatus are stored in a reception buffer. Whether to perform marginless printing of printing on the entire surface of a printing medium is determined on the basis of information on the size of image data and information on the size of the printing medium that are contained in the control command. When marginless printing is performed, the amount of unnecessary image data is calculated by using a plurality of rasters as a unit on the basis of the length of the printing medium in the conveyance direction and the length of the image data in the conveyance direction. The printing start position of the printing medium in the conveyance direction is aligned by a distance corresponding to the number of rasters as a remainder of the calculation. Accordingly, the start position of marginless printing on the printing medium in the conveyance direction can be accurately controlled when marginless printing is executed.

摘要: An organic electroluminescent display panel includes a substrate, a plurality of first electrodes forming parallel stripes on the substrate, a plurality of electrical insulating partitions intersecting the first electrodes, an organic electroluminescent layer formed on the first electrodes and the partitions, a plurality of second electrodes located on the organic electroluminescent layer, and a sealing film. The second electrodes form stripes parallel with the partitions. An organic electroluminescent element is formed at each intersection of the first and second electrodes. The sealing film covers exposed portions of the first electrodes, the organic electroluminescent layer, the partitions, and the second electrodes. Each partition has an inverse tapered portion with a widened distal end. The angle θ defined by each tapered surface of the inverse tapered portion and a plane parallel with the substrate is in a range between 50 degrees and 80 degrees, inclusive, and the height H of the partitions is in a range between 1.5 μm and 6.0 μm, inclusive. The sealing film is formed of silicon nitride, and its thickness is in a range between 0.7 μm and 4.0 μm, inclusive.
