This method enables to distinguish an undifferentiated mesenchymal stem cell from other connective tissue cell such as fibroblasts, osteoblasts, chondrocytes and adipose cells with good accuracy. A mesenchymal stem cell given by this method or a composition comprising the mesenchymal stem sell can be used as a therapeutic for use in the regenerative medicine.
