    摘要: An automatic document feeder device 100 has a device body 110 disposed on a platen 210 of a document reading device 200 and pivotably openable relative to the device 200 by being hingedly connected thereto. The device 100 includes detectors 130, 140 for detecting a document-stack state of at least one of a feeder and an output tray 111, 112 provided on the body 110, a driver 160 for driving the body 110 to be pivotably opened in an upward direction from the platen 210, an instructor 179 for giving an instruction for the driving, and a controller 172 for, based on a detection result of the detectors 130, 140 in priority to the instruction, to permit or forbid the driving, or to control an amount of the driving. When the device body is automatically opened, documents in the feeder or the output tray are unlikely to fall off.

    摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide an image reading apparatus that has a simple mechanism for ejecting dust collected from a transparent member by a cleaner to the outside, thereby preventing stripe noise from being mixed into read image data.Disclosed is an image reading apparatus, wherein while an automatic document feeder is feeding a document (D) such that the document (D) passes over a reading glass (40), an image of the document is optically read at a reading position (A). Above the reading glass (40), a brush type cleaner (45) is disposed to face to the reading position (A) and to be capable of rotating. At a downstream position from the cleaner (45) with respect to a document feeding direction (B), a duster (46) is disposed for a dusting operation to remove dust from the cleaner by slapping against the cleaner (45). Before the leading edge of the document (D) comes to the reading position (A), the cleaner (45) rotates to clean the reading glass (40), and while the document (D) is covering the reading glass (40), the duster (46) slaps against the cleaner (45) to dust the cleaner (45).

    摘要: Disclosed is a device which is mounted on a vehicle, and captures a rear region of a vehicle and a blind spot region outside of a viewing range of a side mirror adjacent to the rear region of the vehicle. A captured image is subjected to image processing so that the blind spot region on the captured image is compressed. The image after subjected to the image processing is displayed so as to be visible to a driver. The blind spot region on the captured image is compressed so that a sudden change of position of a object in a horizontal direction on the captured image is suppressed, as against a change of distance from the vehicle to the object. Compression is performed so that the ratio of transition of position of the object in the horizontal direction on the captured image to transition of distance from the vehicle to the object is substantially the same as the ratio of transition of position of the object in the horizontal direction in the side mirror to transition of distance from the vehicle to the object. The phenomenon of the object's appearance as if the object suddenly accelerates in the vicinity of the vehicle is avoided.
