    摘要: A fender liner includes a surface layer serving as the outermost layer and an inner layer located between the surface layer and the outer surface of a wheel well. The surface layer and the inner layer are formed of nonwoven fabric. The nonwoven fabric forming the inner layer has a higher tensile strength than that of the nonwoven fabric forming the surface layer. Accordingly, the fender liner has a favorable noise reduction capability, and has a sufficient rigidity to bear a weight increase due to water absorption. Alternatively, the nonwoven fabric forming the surface layer may have a higher bulk specific gravity and a smaller fiber diameter than those of the nonwoven fabric forming the inner layer. In this case, the noise reduction capability and the durability are both improved.

    摘要: A vehicle ventilation duct includes a duct body, a conduit, a sound absorption chamber, a transmission opening communicating the conduit with the sound absorption chamber, and an air-permeable member closing the transmission opening permeably. The duct body is disposed in a vehicle outer hull, and includes a frame having a ventilation opening opened to the outside of a vehicle and a valve element covering the ventilation opening openably and closably. The conduit is formed integrally with or independently of the duct body, is disposed on a vehicle-passenger-room side of the duct body, is communicated with the ventilation opening of the duct body, and is communicated with the inside of a vehicle passenger room, whereby enabling air inside and outside the vehicle to pass therethrough back and forth. Thus, the ventilation duct lets out air in the vehicle passenger room to the outside of the vehicle or vice versa.

    摘要: According to a method for molding wheel caps, a base member of a thermoplastic resin is molded using a first cavity mold. Then, a film is formed on the base member by injecting a thermosetting coating material into a film forming cavity defined between a surface of the base member and a second cavity mold, such that the film forming cavity is filled with the coating material. The temperature of the second cavity mold is set to a temperature lower than the curing temperature of the thermosetting coating material at the time of injection of the thermosetting coating material into the film forming cavity.

    摘要: A honeycomb structure includes: a honeycomb structural portion having porous partition walls functioning as fluid passages and separating and forming a plurality of cells extending from one end face to the other end face. The partition walls and the outer peripheral wall contain silicon carbide particles as a framework and silicon as a binder for binding the silicon carbide particles. The honeycomb structure has a partition walls thickness of 50 to 200 μm, a cell density of 40 to 150 cells/cm2, and an average particle diameter of the silicon carbide as a framework of 3 to 40 μm. The honeycomb structural portion has a volume resistivity of 1 to 40 Ωcm at 400° C., and the volume resistivity of the electrode portion at 400° C. is not more than 40% of the volume resistivity of the honeycomb structural portion at 400° C.

    摘要: A ventilation device has a duct main body, a valve body, and pairs of widened portions. The duct main body has an opening. The duct main body has an upper edge defining a part of the opening. A plurality of insertion slots are formed in and along the upper edge. The valve body has a plurality of substantially triangular engaging pieces provided at an upper end of the valve body. Each engaging piece is inserted in one of the insertion slots, such that the valve body is hung by the duct body to be capable of opening and closing the opening. Each pair of the widened portions is provided at side sections of one of the insertion slots. When the engaging pieces are being inserted in the insertion slots, each pair of the widened portions permit the corresponding engaging piece to be deformed.
