摘要： According to a method for molding wheel caps, a base member of a thermoplastic resin is molded using a first cavity mold. Then, a film is formed on the base member by injecting a thermosetting coating material into a film forming cavity defined between a surface of the base member and a second cavity mold, such that the film forming cavity is filled with the coating material. The temperature of the second cavity mold is set to a temperature lower than the curing temperature of the thermosetting coating material at the time of injection of the thermosetting coating material into the film forming cavity.

摘要： A method for molding an in-mold coating product including a substrate and a coating formed on a surface of the substrate. A first mold including a fixed mold piece is closed to form a substrate cavity therein. The substrate cavity is charged with a resin to form the substrate with a seal projection formed near the parting line of the first mold. Then, a second mold, which uses the fixed mold piece of the first mold, is closed with the substrate arranged on the fixed mold piece to form a coating cavity therein. The second mold deforms the seal projection so that when a coating material is charged into the coating cavity, the coating material does not leak out toward the parting line of the second mold.

摘要： A fender liner includes a surface layer serving as the outermost layer and an inner layer located between the surface layer and the outer surface of a wheel well. The surface layer and the inner layer are formed of nonwoven fabric. The nonwoven fabric forming the inner layer has a higher tensile strength than that of the nonwoven fabric forming the surface layer. Accordingly, the fender liner has a favorable noise reduction capability, and has a sufficient rigidity to bear a weight increase due to water absorption. Alternatively, the nonwoven fabric forming the surface layer may have a higher bulk specific gravity and a smaller fiber diameter than those of the nonwoven fabric forming the inner layer. In this case, the noise reduction capability and the durability are both improved.

摘要： A vehicle ventilation duct includes a duct body, a conduit, a sound absorption chamber, a transmission opening communicating the conduit with the sound absorption chamber, and an air-permeable member closing the transmission opening permeably. The duct body is disposed in a vehicle outer hull, and includes a frame having a ventilation opening opened to the outside of a vehicle and a valve element covering the ventilation opening openably and closably. The conduit is formed integrally with or independently of the duct body, is disposed on a vehicle-passenger-room side of the duct body, is communicated with the ventilation opening of the duct body, and is communicated with the inside of a vehicle passenger room, whereby enabling air inside and outside the vehicle to pass therethrough back and forth. Thus, the ventilation duct lets out air in the vehicle passenger room to the outside of the vehicle or vice versa.
