    摘要: A pressure detector has a cylindrical housing projecting into an atmosphere the pressure of which to be measured, a pressure chamber formed within the housing, to which is the pressure to be measured is introduced, a metallic diaphragm formed on a surface of one portion of a wall defining the pressure chamber, which deforms in accordance with changes in the pressure which is to be measured, and a strain gauge provided in the diaphragm for generating an output signal corresponding to the strain generated due to the deformation of the diaphragm. The strain gauge is composed of a diamond monocrystal plate and a diamond semiconductor film formed on the diamond monocrystal plate. On the diamond monocrystal plate are piled a titanium film, a platinum film, and a gold film, in sequence. The gold film is joined to the diaphragm by brazing.

    摘要: In an electroluminescent element in which a first electrode, a first insulating layer, a luminescent layer, a second insulating layer and a second electrode are sequentially laminated on a substrate, the luminescent layer has a first and second luminescent portions which are located apart from each other. A color filter is provided above one of the first and second luminescent portions. The second electrode includes a first part electrode for activating the first luminescent portion and a second part electrode for activating the second luminescent portion. The color filter is formed so that a portion extending from a bottom face of the color filter is inserted into a gap between the first and second luminescent portions to surround an upper face and side faces of the one of the first and second luminescent portions.

    摘要: A thin-film EL display panel which has excellent packageability, high reliability and stable performance characteristics, and which can prevent nonuniformity of brightness and color from occurring and a fabrication method thereof are provided. In the above thin-film EL display panel, two thin-film EL elements 1 and 2 formed by sequentially laminating first electrodes 12 and 22, first insulating layers, luminescent layers, second insulating layers and second electrodes 16 and 26 respectively on glass substrates 11 and 21 are laminated into position and connecting terminal portions 12a, 22a, 16a and 26a for connecting the first electrodes 12 and 22 and second electrodes 16 and 26 are formed on the edge portions of the substrates 11 and 21 of the thin-film EL elements 1 and 2. connecting pad portions 17 and 18 which correspond respectively to the connecting terminal portions 22a and 26a of the thin-film EL element 2 are provided on the edge portions on the substrate of the thin-film EL element 1, the connecting pad portions are connected to the connecting terminal portions of the other thin-film EL element via conductive coupling sections 19 and the connecting pad portions and the connecting terminal portions to which lead wires are connected are provided on the edge portion of one substrate at a position where both substrates will not be laminated.

An EL element manufacturing method forms a first luminescent material containing zinc in its composition on a first insulated layer, forms a first resist that has a first pattern on the first luminescent material, dry etches the first luminescent material through the first resist, thereby forming the first luminescent layer; forms a second luminescent material having zinc in its composition on the first luminescent layer, forms a second resist on the second luminescent material, and dry etches the second luminescent material through the second resist.

    摘要: An electroluminescent display panel which is able to selectively display different colors by changing a voltage level imposed thereon is made in a simple structure. A first luminescent layer (4) emitting green light, for example, and a second luminescent layer (5) emitting orange light, for example, are directly laminated on each other without interposing an intermediate electrode therebetween. The second luminescent layer covers only a part of the first luminescent layer to form a single layer portion and a double layer portion. The single layer portion emits green light at a low voltage level, while the double layer portion emits lemon light having a higher luminance at a high voltage level. The display may be made in a form of a matrix or a certain pattern. The display panel may be used as an instrument panel for an automobile. The green light display is used at night time, while the lemon light display with a high luminance is used at day time to cope with sun light.

    摘要: An electro-luminescent display apparatus which is capable of displaying two kinds of images is disclosed. The apparatus has a front and a rear electro-luminescent unit therein, and the green light emitted from the front unit directly displays the real image which looks close to a viewer while the orange light emitted from the rear unit is reflected by a reflector disposed at the back of the apparatus and displays a virtual image which looks far from the viewer. In order to reflect the light emitted backward from the front unit and the light emitted forward from the rear unit, reflecting electrodes are provided on the rear surface of the front unit or a reflecting film is disposed in the space between the front and the rear units.
