    摘要: There is disclosed a rotary cutting tool having a cutter body and at least one pair of end and peripheral cutting edges provided on the cutter body. A covering of a generally cylindrical shape is disposed rotatably relative to the cutter body so as to surround the circumferential surface of a forward end portion of the cutter body to define a chip disposal space therebetween. A guide member is secured to the forward end portion of the cutter body for guiding chips produced during a cutting operation to the chip disposal space. Furthermore, a chip disposal pipe is connected to the covering for removing the chips in the chip disposal space.

    摘要: A microdrill bit is made of a tungsten carbide based cemented carbide which contains a binder phase of 6% by weight to 14% by weight of a cobalt alloy and a hard dispersed phase of balance tungsten carbide. The cobalt alloy contains cobalt, chromium, vanadium and tungsten and has weight ratios so as to satisfy the relationships of 0.04.ltoreq.(c+d)/(a+b+c+d).ltoreq.0.10 and 0.50.ltoreq.c/(c+d).ltoreq.0.95, where a, b, c and d denote weight ratios of tungsten, cobalt, chromium and vanadium, respectively. The drill bit is formed so as to have a Rockwell A scale hardness of 92.0 to 94.0.

    摘要: The present invention concerns to a clamped cutting tool used in the metalworking field. The clamped cutting tool includes a tool-holder, a shim member placed on the tool-holder, a cutting insert placed on the shim member, and a locking pin held in engagement with the tool-holder for clamping the cutting insert. The tool-holder includes a forward end portion having an insert receving recess formed therein, the recess having a bottom wall and at least one side wall extending upwardly from the bottom wall, the bottom wall including a pin-receiving hole of a circular cross-section formed therein so as to extend downwardly. The shim member has a bore of a circular cross-section formed therethrough, the shim member being disposed on the bottom wall of the recess in such a manner that the bore communicates with and is concentric to the hole of the tool-holder. The cutting insert has an aperture of a circular cross-section formed therethrough, the insert being disposed on the shim member in such a manner that the aperture communicates with the bore of the shim member.
