摘要: An erasable black ink composition for use in ball-point pens is disclosed. The composition comprises rubber, a low boiling solvent, a black pigment, a quality adjuster and a lubricant, wherein the content of the rubber is 18.9 to 20% by weight of the composition, the ratio by weight of the low boiling solvent to the rubber is in the range of 1.56:1 to 1.64:1, the ratio by weight of the pigment to the rubber is in the range of 0.8:1 to 0.9:1, and the ratio by weight of the quality adjuster to the pigment is in the range of 1.7:1 to 1.8:1. Traces of the ink can be erased by a rubber eraser within an initial period of time.

摘要: A capillary nib for pens is shaped from a thermoplastic resin bar and has a cross-sectional shape comprising an outer shell and a plurality of projections joined integrally at their bases to the outer shell at equal angular spacing intervals and projecting centripetally toward the center of the cross section, voids constituting principal capillary ink passages being formed between the projections, alternate projections extending fully to the center and being joined together. The thermoplastic resin bar is formed by extruding the resin in molten state though a die having a large number of orifices disposed in a specific arrangement thereby to form a plurality of filaments of the resin and causing the filaments to adhere longitudinally while the surfaces thereof are still substantially in molten state thereby to form the bar. Each passage or channel has substantially identical transverse width across its cross-sectional area.

摘要: A liquid discharge device using a peristaltic pump having a depression and delivery system including an elastic tube for introducing compressed air into a liquid reservoir to be maintained in a selective pressurized state. A motor drive circuit is adjusted to vary motor rotation to sequentially squeeze and release one end of the elastic tube thereby varying the rate of pressurization in the reservoir.

摘要: A mechanical pencil unit of the pushbutton-action type and a ballpoint pen unit are housed in a common holder having top and bottom sections which are rotatable in oppposite directions relative to each other. Mounted within the holder and substantially secured to its bottom section only is a cradle which supports and constrains the two writing units for independent longitudinal motion with respect to the holder. The writing units are spring-biased into sliding engagement with an overhanging, downward-facing cam ledge on the inside surface of the holder top section, such that the writing units are selectively moved from a retracted to a writing position upon manual rotation of the holder top section in either direction relative to its bottom section. Upon movement of the mechanical pencil unit to the writing position, an offset pusher finger extending downwardly from a pushbutton on the holder is moved into alignment with the pencil unit for actuating and making the same ready for writing or marking.

摘要: An erasable ball-point pen ink is disclosed. The ink is comprised of a rubber component, a volatile solvent, an organic pigment and a nonvolatile solvent, which additionally contains fine powders of silicon dioxide formed by the hydrolysis of silicon tetrachloride, the hydrolysis being carried out by a high temperature gas phase reaction; a semisolid substance; a soft solid substance having a melting point of not more than 130.degree. C.; a combination of fine powders of silicon dioxide formed by the hydrolysis of silicon tetrachloride, the hydrolysis being carried out by a high temperature gas phase reaction, and a semisolid substance; or a combination of fine powders of silicon dioxide formed by the hydrolysis of silicon tetrachloride, the hydrolysis being carried out by a high temperature gas phase reaction, and a soft solid substance having a melting point not higher than 130.degree. C. The ink can be used in a ball-point pen to make it possible to write fine letters and is capable of maintaining highly stable ink traces over long distances compared with presently available ball-point pen inks. The traces produced are even and show good intensity. Further, the ink does not produce substantial wear of ball holder with respect to the pen components. In addition to the excellent writing performances of the disclosed ink it retains the same or better erasability than erasable inks presently available in the market.

摘要: This invention provides stencil from which a patternwise perforated stencil can be easily made by handwritting, a stencil material kit with which a patternwise perforated stencil can be made, and a stencil duplicator kit which, in combination with the stencil, performs simple, clear printing. The stencil is made up of a porous support and a masking film formed thereon, said masking film being made of a water-insoluble polymer having tertiary amino groups. The stencil material kit contains the stencil and a patternwise perforated stencil-making solution which forms a water-soluble product upon reaction with said polymer. Stencil printing is performed using the patternwise perforated stencil, a stencil duplicator and printing ink.

摘要: A pickup device for picking up vibration transmitted through bones or solid members in human, in which a piezoelectric element is mounted like a cantilever within a substantially rigid liquid-tight case filled with a viscous liquid in such a way that the free end of the piezoelectric element can vibrate with respect to the liquid-tight case. The viscosity of the viscous liquid ranges from 30 to 10,000 cs so that the sharpness of resonance of the piezoelectric element can be suitably suppressed.
