摘要: A method for manufacturing a coating includes dissolving at least one salt in a mixture of water and ethanol to form a precursor solution, adding an additive to the precursor solution to form a fuel solution, and injecting the fuel solution into a plasma flame. The additive includes at least one of urea or ammonium acetate. The additive functions as a fuel to increase a temperature of the plasma flame. The method further includes manufacturing the coating on a substrate. The coating includes a garnet structure including a predetermined amount of yttrium-aluminum, one or more first cracks extending completely through a thickness of the coating, and a porosity greater than ten volume percent.

In one example, a method includes inferring, by a processor, a complexity of a scene contained in a first chunk of an adaptive bitrate streaming video, wherein the first chunk is a next chunk of the adaptive bitrate streaming video to be downloaded to an adaptive bitrate streaming video player, and wherein the complexity indicates a relative amount of spatial and temporal information contained in the scene, and selecting, by the processor, a first track from which to download the first chunk, wherein the first track is one of a plurality of tracks containing the first chunk, and wherein each track of the plurality of tracks encoded the first chunk at a different bitrate, and wherein a bitrate of the first track is proportional to the complexity of the scene as inferred.

摘要: A semiconductor device that includes an array of imaging cells is provided. Each imaging cell of the array of imaging cells includes an imaging region and first and second charge storage regions. Further, each imaging cell includes first and second quantum dot-in-quantum well (QD-in-QW) structures. The first QD-in-QW structure absorbs an incident electromagnetic radiation having a wavelength within a predetermined first wavelength band and generates a hole photocurrent. The second QD-in-QW structure absorbs an incident electromagnetic radiation having a wavelength within a predetermined second wavelength band and generates an electron photocurrent. Each imaging cell further includes p-type and n-type modulation doped QW structures that defines first and second buried QW channels. The first and second buried QW channels provide for lateral transfer of the hole and electron photocurrents for charge accumulation in the first and second charge storage regions, respectively.
