    摘要: Methods and systems for delivering an active agent into an intraoral structure are disclosed. One embodiment of a method for implementing the subject matter described herein includes generating an electrical signal that includes a first frequency, a second frequency, and a third frequency, and supplying the electrical signal to an embedded circuit contained in an intraoral delivery tray, wherein the embedded circuit includes at least one electrode that includes projections positioned proximally to a surface of an intraoral structure. The method further includes providing the first frequency and the second frequency to the at least one electrode to generate an electrical field that electrically motivates the active agent suspended in a fluid medium contained in the intraoral delivery tray toward the intraoral structure via dielectrophoresis and providing the third frequency to the at least one electrode to increase the uptake of the active agent into intraoral structure via alternating current electroosmosis.

    摘要: Provided is an alveolar bone regenerative unit and an alveolar bone regenerative apparatus capable of regeneration treatment for an alveolar bone by sterilizing a periodontium and activating an osteoblast. The alveolar bone regenerative unit includes an active needle electrode of a metal electrode generating heat by power supply and a handle attached to a base of the active needle electrode. The active needle electrode is 25.0 to 41.0 mm long and 0.08 to 0.47 mm in diameter, on which a strippable coat is formed with silicon resin. Supplying power to the active needle electrode causes heat generation at a high temperature because of the thin diameter. The high temperature and electric energy can kill bacteria around a root, thereby being able to activate an osteoblast and regenerate an alveolar bone.

    摘要: An endosteal implant, and the method for performing the implantation thereof, which promotes rapid and complete securing of the inplant to bone tissue. Soft tissure at a bone site is incised and a bore is drilled in the exposed bone. An implant housing is inserted in the bore. The implant housing is constructed so as to be able to receive a selectively removable electrical power source therewithin. When the power source is received within the housing located in the bore in the bone, and the soft tissue is sealed over the implant housing site, the power source produces an electrical current travelling through the tissue and the bone surrounding the site. Such current promotes cellular adhesion activity thereby substantially reducing the time for securing the implant housing to the bone. Subsequently, the electrical power source may be removed and replaced with a suitable abutment for affixing a desired prosthesis to the implant housing. Alternatively, the power source may be permanently left within the implant housing.

    摘要: A tooth prothesis located in a mandible tooth socket having a root supporting a crown. The root has a cone-shaped head located in a recess in the bottom of the crown and a stem extended into the socket. An elastic body of ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer surrounds and is bonded to the stem. The outer surface of the elastic body is bonded to the inside surface of a porous fabric which permits bone ingrowth to anchor the prothesis to the mandible. The fabric has a Pyrolite carbon outer skin. The upper edge of the fabric is spaced from the crown and head whereby the elastic body allows limited movement of the crown relative to the fabric. A plurality of bands of silver surround the body adjacent the lower edge of the crown. Ionic silver is released from the bands, which provides anti-bacterial action. In one form, a silver wire contained in the root and connected to a band and a source of direct current releases ionic silver into the surrounding tissue. In another form, the root, crown, and body have passages for accommodating drug materials and silver compounds.
