Abstract: A bed device includes: an operation section that receives an operation input; a controller that controls a movement of the bed in accordance with the operation input; a detector that detects a position of a patient on the bed; and, a limitation table that stores a limitation area set on the bed in association with a limitation content, wherein when the position of the patient detected by the detector is included in the limitation area, the limitation content is read out from the limitation table so as to control the controller in accordance with the limitation content. With this configuration, it is possible to provide a higher safety bed device which can not only notify the danger based on the bed movement but also limit the movement of the bed in accordance with the status of the patient or the bed device.

Abstract: A patient support apparatus includes a frame having a head end and a foot end. A support arm is operably coupled to the head end of the frame. A cord is coupled to the support arm. A user interface housing is operably coupled to the cord and configured to retain a user interface. The user interface housing includes a locking body coupled to a body of the user interface housing and has a flange configured to engage an edge of the user interface. A latch mechanism includes a flexible body coupled to a rear side of the locking body. The latch mechanism is configured to selectively secure the locking body in a position. A shelf is coupled to a lower portion of the body of the user interface housing. The shelf has stoppers operably coupled to the shelf. The stoppers are adjustable along a horizontal plane to define different widths.

Abstract: A patient bed has a siderail that is movable to a raised position elevated over a central region of a mattress of the patient bed for use as part of a patient lift of the patient bed. In a lowered position, the siderail blocks egress of a patient from the mattress. In the raised position of the siderail, a sling arm is coupleable to the siderail and a sling is coupleable to hooks of the sling arm.

Abstract: A radiolucent pressure-sensing mattress for a surgical table includes radiolucent pressure sensors, and a radiolucent electromagnetic interference shielding layer. The radiolucent pressure sensors measure the amount of force exerted by a patient's body at certain locations of the radiolucent pressure-sensing mattress. The radiolucent electromagnetic interference shielding layer envelopes the radiolucent pressure sensors. The shielding layer shields the sensors from electromagnetic interference from other sources in an operating room. In certain embodiments, the shielding layer is made from woven carbon fiber.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel lift swing pad made of memory foam material. The pad is cuboidal and is configured to be separately positioned on slings of a lift sling or lift swing such that the legs and/or arms (i.e., appendages) of a user sitting in the swing places legs on the pads to prevent the slings from folding under the user and to prevent the slings from pulling on the skin of the user. The pad has a hook and loop fastener for attaching to the slings and in one embodiment, has a heating layer for providing a soothing effect to the user. In some embodiments, the pad is made of waterproof neoprene. The pad helps maintain optimal blood circulation within the extremities while a person is being supported by the sling.
