摘要: Disclosed herein are intermittent catheters and methods thereof. In an example of an intermittent catheter, the intermittent catheter can include a catheter tube, a lubricant disposed over a surface of at least a distal portion of the catheter tube, and a funnel coupled to a proximal portion of the catheter tube. The catheter tube can be of a polymeric material. The lubricant can have a solid state below 68° F. and a liquid state above 68° F. such that the lubricant transitions into the liquid state upon insertion into a urethra of a patient or user. The funnel can include a funnel opening in a proximal end of the funnel for voiding urine. In an example of a method of an intermittent catheter, the method can include a method of making or using the intermittent catheter.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a ureteral stent and a preparation method thereof. The ureteral stent has at least one pre-coating formed on its surface and at least one hydrophilic lubricating coating formed on the pre-coating. Preferably, the pre-coating and the hydrophilic lubricating coating are formed by photocuring, thermal curing, chemical reaction, physical adsorption, crystallization or freezing. By means of the technical solutions of the present disclosure, a stable and firm coating is formed on the surface of the ureteral stent with a more complicated shape, the friction force (the friction force of the 30th cycle is small, and the friction force of the 30th cycle/initial friction force is kept within 2 times) of the ureteral stent is greatly reduced, and the lubricating performance is greatly improved.

摘要: Novel, lubricious coatings for medical devices are disclosed. The coatings provide improved lubricity and durability and are readily applied in coating processes a low temperatures that do not deform the device. The present invention is also directed to a novel platinum catalyst for use in such coatings. The catalyst provides for rapid curing, while inhibiting cross-linking at ambient temperatures, thereby improving the production pot life of the coatings.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to medical delivery devices that include a barrel having an inner surface, and in at least one embodiment, the inner surface is hydrophilic. The medical delivery device may further include a stopper may having an elastomeric body, one or more fluoropolymer layers, and two or more ribs laminated to the one or more fluoropolymer layers. In some embodiments, the contact angle of the inner surface of the barrel is less than about 58°. Additionally, the stopper includes a sliding surface that is less than about 2.0 mm. The barrel provides inner surface that in combination with the fluoropolymer laminate or fluoropolymer film achieve high levels of air and liquid impermeability while also maintaining an acceptably low break loose force, low average glide force, and low glide force variation. In some embodiments, the compressibility stopper against the barrel is greater than about 7.9%.

摘要: A urinary catheter and container are described. The urinary catheter may have a catheter shaft attached to a handle, and a coating disposed on an outer surface of the catheter shaft. The coating may include a hydrogel, water and/or glycerin, and a polyethylene gylcol (PEG). The PEG may have a molecular weight equal to or less than 600, for example one or more of polyethylene glycol (PEG) 300 and PEG 400. The coating may be applied in a wet state and remain wet for an extended period of time in the container, thereby obviating the need for a lubricant, such as a water sachet or gel package, to accompany the catheter in the container. The container may include a gas impermeable foil material. The container may include an adhesive tab covering a perforated section, the adhesive tab including a pull loop.

The distal end is movable relative to a longitudinal axis in accordance with ultrasonic vibrations applied to the proximal end. At least a portion of the outer surface of the body comprises a lubricious coating adhered thereto. The lubricious coating has a coefficient of friction that is less than the coefficient of friction of the outer surface of the body.
