摘要: A dissector including a body, a first arm, a second arm, and a string. The first arm extending from the body towards a distal end thereof and the second arm extending from the body towards a distal end thereof. One end of the string is coupled to the first arm adjacent the distal end thereof and the other end of the string is coupled to the second arm adjacent the distal end thereof. The first and second arms have an expanded configuration such that the string is taut and have a collapsed configuration such that the string is slack. The string is configured to dissect tissue when the first and second arms are in the expanded configuration. The string may oscillate to dissect tissue. The distal ends of the first and second arms may atraumatically dissect tissue.

A motor is supported within the housing for supplying actuation motions to various portions of a surgical end effector coupled to the housing. 摘要: A stapling assembly configured to be operably attached to a surgical system comprises a carrier operably supporting a cartridge assembly therein and an anvil. The stapling assembly further comprises a housing removably attachable to the surgical system and an axial drive assembly. The stapling assembly further comprises a motor supported within the housing, wherein the motor is operable to selectively transmit a rotary motion to the axial drive assembly. The motor can only transmit the rotary motion to the axial drive assembly when the housing is coupled to the surgical system and a power source is selectively coupled with the motor.

摘要: Systems and devices are described which include a tissue cutting device including a central rotatable shaft having a first end and a second end; a motor operably coupled to the first end of the central rotatable shaft, the motor including circuitry configured to rotate the central rotatable shaft; a moveable component configured to move along at least a portion of the length of the central rotatable shaft; and an elongated flexible cutting component having a first end and a second end, the first end of the elongated flexible cutting component secured to the moveable component and the second end of the elongated flexible cutting component secured to the central rotatable shaft in proximity to the second end of the central rotatable shaft; wherein movement of the moveable component along the at least a portion of the length of the central rotatable shaft changes a shape formed by the elongated flexible cutting component.

摘要: A battery-powered, modular surgical device comprising an electrically powered surgical instrument that requires a pre-determined minimum amount of electrical energy to complete a surgical procedure, and a power module assembly that has a battery that powers the surgical instrument and has a current state of electrical charge, and a control circuit that is electrically coupled to the battery and the surgical instrument and has a memory and a microprocessor. The microprocessor determines the current state of electrical charge of the battery, compares the current state of electrical charge to the pre-determined minimum amount of electrical energy, permits the battery to discharge if the current state of electrical charge is above the pre-determined minimum amount of electrical energy, and maintains the battery in a non-discharge state if the current state of electrical charge is below the pre-determined minimum amount of electrical energy.
