In an embodiment of the in-line mixing system, hydrocarbon liquids stored in at least one tank of each of two or more sets of tanks positioned at a tank farm are blended into a blend flow pipe via in-line mixing and the blended mixture is pumped through a single pipeline. In one or more embodiments, the in-line mixing system employs a separate spillback or recirculation loop that is fluidly connected to each set of the two or more sets of tanks to control the flow of the hydrocarbon fluid/liquid from each set of tanks to the blend flow pipe. Associated methods of operating one or more embodiments of the system include regulation of spillback or recirculation loop flow rate and/or pressure to drive the actual blend ratio towards a desired blend ratio.

摘要: An apparatus for a dry gas scrubber includes: a cooling chamber defined by a housing having an inlet for receiving an effluent stream for treatment by the dry gas scrubber, an outlet for providing the effluent stream for treatment by the dry gas scrubber, and at least one cooling plate within the chamber, the cooling plate being thermally coupled with the housing and configured to deviate a direction of flow of the effluent stream when flowing from the inlet to the outlet. In this way, the cooling chamber is interposed between the process tool and the resin chamber of the dry gas scrubber and operates to cool the effluent stream prior to its being delivered to the resin chamber. Cooling the effluent stream in this way helps to improve the performance of the resin, even when the effluent stream is at an elevated temperature.

In an embodiment, such a method may include transporting a fluid from a tank to a pump through a first pipe. The method may include discharging, via the pump, the fluid at a specified flow rate through a second pipe. The method may include measuring a flow rate of the first portion of the fluid flowing from the main control valve through the mixing pipe. The method may include measuring a flow rate of the second portion of the fluid flowing through the spillback loop. The method may include determining a current pump efficiency point and operating the pump within a range of percentages of the best efficiency point.

摘要: A mixer duct for mixing of a turbulent flow includes an inlet, an outlet in fluid communication with the inlet, and at least one static mixer element located between the inlet and the outlet. The at least one static mixer element includes at least two at least substantially coplanar plate-like segments spaced apart by a substantially longitudinal gap. Each segment is attached to a duct wall and comprises at least two free edges, with one free edge being a leading edge and the other free edge adjacent to the longitudinal gap. The at least two segments are inclined relative to a duct axis so that their leading edge is oriented up-stream in the mixer duct and substantially perpendicular to a direction of a main fluid flow.
