摘要: A mixer duct for mixing of a turbulent flow includes an inlet, an outlet in fluid communication with the inlet, and at least one static mixer element located between the inlet and the outlet. The at least one static mixer element includes at least two at least substantially coplanar plate-like segments spaced apart by a substantially longitudinal gap. Each segment is attached to a duct wall and comprises at least two free edges, with one free edge being a leading edge and the other free edge adjacent to the longitudinal gap. The at least two segments are inclined relative to a duct axis so that their leading edge is oriented up-stream in the mixer duct and substantially perpendicular to a direction of a main fluid flow.

摘要: An apparatus for supplying and dissipating heat, for carrying out reactions and for mixing and dispersing flowing media in a housing with an internal diameter for a medium and comprising internal fittings made up of a bundle of tubes with an external diameter or made up of other elongate elements oriented parallel to the longitudinal axis of the housing is provided. The apparatus includes crosspieces or crosspiece layers installed crosswise between the elongate elements. The crosspieces are inclined in relation to the longitudinal axis of the housing and are not in contact. After axially successive crosspieces, or a length, the crosspieces are installed between the tubes and turned by preferably 90°. A heat-transfer medium can flow in a co-current or counter-current mode. This results in a mixer/heat exchanger or reactor with an extremely large heat-transfer capacity and almost plug flow.

摘要: A stream of seed may be maintained at a metered flow rate through multiple stages of a treatment process. These multiple stages include dispensing, first application of fluid, second application of fluid, and seed transport. Seed transport may be accomplished through a conveyor configured to maintain the metered flow rate while providing static mixing, drying, and conditioning of the treated seed. The metered stream of seed may be treated within a first treatment applicator where a first wet treatment is applied, transferred through the incline conveyor, and treated again within a second treatment applicator where a second wet treatment is applied. Overtreating in multiple stages may layer consecutive seed treatments around the treated seed. A predetermined amount of seed treatment may be applied to the coated seed based on the metered flow rate established. Maintaining the metered flow rate through multiple stages eliminates the need for multiple metering steps.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a mixer for mixing pasty components, comprising a mixing case extending along a longitudinal axis and having at least one inlet, preferably two inlets, and an outlet, and comprising at least one mixing element received in the mixing case, which defines a plurality of chambers together with the mixing case, said chambers being arranged successively and/or adjacently along a flow path from the inlets to the outlet. The chambers are defined by transverse walls, each extending perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis, and four side walls that each extend parallel to the longitudinal axis, and adjacent chambers are interconnected by a flow by means of through-openings provided in the side walls, the mixing element comprising two strips forming side walls, which are connected by a web that forms other side walls and is perpendicularly arranged in relation to the strips, a first group of chambers having first through-openings arranged in the web, which extend up to a strip, and a second group of chambers comprising second through-openings positioned at a distance to at least one strip in the web.
