    摘要: A mixing chamber for use in a beverage carbonation system is provided. In one embodiment, the carbonation mixing chamber includes a housing, a fluid inlet pathway, a gas inlet pathway, and an outlet pathway. The housing may have an inner chamber, and the fluid inlet pathway can be configured to extend into the inner chamber of the housing and receive fluid from a fluid source. The gas inlet pathway can be configured to extend into the inner chamber of the housing and can be configured to receive gas from a gas source. The gas inlet pathway can include a plurality of nozzles positioned within the inner chamber and configured to direct gas in a plurality of directions that differ from one another. The outlet pathway can be configured to dispense a mixture of fluid and gas from the inner chamber.

    摘要: A method of producing a carbonated beverage comprising a blend of water and syrup having a predetermined final carbonation level. The method includes the steps of: introducing CO2 into a flowing stream of a product blend comprising water, syrup and dissolved oxygen, such that CO2 is dissolved in the product blend; deaerating the CO2-containing product blend by introducing the blend into a vented atmospheric vessel, the interior of which is at ambient pressure with a headspace maintained above the surface of the liquid within the vessel, whereby dissolved oxygen is released from the product blend and vented from the vessel; pumping the deaerated product blend from the vessel, wherein the deaerated blend includes dissolved CO2 at an intermediate carbonation level less than the final carbonation level; and carbonating the deaerated product blend to the final carbonation level downstream of the vented vessel to produce a carbonated beverage for subsequent packaging. A system for performing the method is also provided, as well as a method of producing a beverage using nitrogen deaeration.

The filter (4) can be is a metal plate, with a plurality of holes (4a) distributed on its surface with a diameter such that they prevent the fluid deposited thereon from moving through said holes towards the lower portion of the container but allow the passage of the gas from the lower portion of the container towards the upper portion thereof through the fluid deposited on the filter (4).
