Abstract:
The invention provides a method for mixing two or more gaseous or liquid streams, where the gaseous streams are combined in an inlet chamber and thereafter repeatedly accelerated and decelerated in one or more of stages, and a value of a maximum linear velocity of the accelerated combined gaseous stream is maintained in each step within a range of mass flow rates of the gaseous streams. The invention also provides apparatus for mixing two or more gaseous or liquid streams, one embodiment comprises a body with a seat; a spindle with a plug, which is installed in the seat and the seat and the plug have a plurality of conical surfaces forming the same plurality of conical annuli. The spindle is able to move the plug in an axial direction in the seat during the mixing.Another embodiment comprises a body, a spindle with a tube plug. A cage and annular mixing elements surround the tube plug.
Abstract:
Mixing device for mixing of a first and second gas stream comprising within a housing at least one deflection body causing the gas streams to be radially deflected within the housing; and a nozzle device for introduction of the second gas stream, arranged rotational symmetric to axis of the housing.
Abstract:
A dispersion water nozzle passes pressurized water containing dissolved air into a flotation clarifier. A throttle part of the nozzle is composed of a cylinder or spherical valve member, into which, the main flow through passage and a crosswise flow through passage are formed. The crosswise flow through passage has a smaller cross-sectional area. The throttle part is followed by a tubular flow equalization part. The nozzle is easy to clean by changing the flow passages and flow directions in the throttle member.
Abstract:
The invention pertains to a rotary mixer and disperser head consisting of a shaft to which is connected a mixing chamber that is to be disposed into a vat or the like for dispersing, dissolving or blending of solids liquids or gasses with other liquids. The mixing chamber has secured to its upper and lower ends a plurality of impeller blades which have an end thereof located outside the mixing chamber to direct material into the mixing chamber and out through openings in the side wall of the mixing chamber during the mixing and dispersing thereof. The mixer and disperser head also comprises shear arms having a sharpened leading edge, thereby providing an additional initial shear zone. The specific mixing chamber and its configuration provide for a very efficient mixing operation.
Abstract:
A homogenization device comprising a flow-through channel having at least two local constrictions of flow wherein the size of a first local constrictions is adjustable thereby permitting variable flow rate through one portion of the device and the size of a second local constriction is fixed thereby permitting constant flow rate through another portion of the device.
Abstract:
A device and method for creating hydrodynamic cavitation in fluid is provided. The device can include a flow-through chamber having a first portion and a second portion, and a plurality of baffles provided within the second portion of the flow-through chamber. One or more of the plurality of baffles can be configured to be selectively movable into the first portion of the flow-through chamber to generate a hydrodynamic cavitation field downstream from each baffle moved into the first portion of the flow-through chamber.

Abstract:
An apparatus for mixing a first fluid into a second fluid, comprising a housing having a flow-through chamber for the second fluid, a throttling body in the flow-through chamber, and inlet and outlet passages to enable flow of the second fluid to and from, respectively, the flow-through chamber. The throttling body is arranged with elements which are able to displace the throttling body between a position in which the throttling body blocks the inlet passage and a position in which the inlet passage is open. The apparatus is also provided with holes for introducing the first fluid, preferably into, or immediately in front of, the inlet passage.
