    摘要: A filtration system for filtering particulates from air. A plurality of point ionization sources are positioned in the proximity of the periphery of an air flow channel and being oriented to generate ions in the proximity of the air flow channel in a direction generally upstream from each respective one of the plurality of point ionization sources. A particulate collection surface is positioned within the air flow channel in a downstream direction from the plurality of point ionization sources. The particulate collection surface is electrostatically charged in an opposite direction with respect to ground than the electrical charge of the ions. An ion trap is positioned within the air flow channel between the plurality of ionization sources and the particulate collection surface. The ion trap is relatively electrically neutral as compared with the particulate collection surface and the ions.

    摘要: The process for cleaning collecting surfaces of dedusting electrostatic precipitators includes the steps of introducing a coarse-grained cleaning dust into the dedusting electrostatic precipitator, collecting at least the cleaning dust electrostatically in the dedusting electrostatic precipitator and periodically removing the cleaning dust so collected from the collecting surfaces to form a collected dust. To provide a more complete cleaning, the cleaning dust is fed into a gas-flowless space above the fields containing the collecting electrodes and the cleaning dust is distributed in the gas-flowless space according to the cleaning requirements. An apparatus for performing the above cleaning process is also described.

The dust collection device comprises a pre-charging unit and a bag filter in a flue gas duct through which a gas flows, with the pre-charging unit disposed upstream from the bag filter, wherein the pre-charging unit comprises electrodes that charge the dust, a power source that supplies electric power to the electrodes, and a gas flow rate control device that adjusts the flow rate of the gas flowing through the pre-charging unit to a prescribed value. The method comprises a step of charging the dust by applying a voltage from the electrodes to the dust, and a step of removing the dust adhered to the electrodes by increasing the flow rate of the gas flowing through the pre-charging unit.

    摘要: An improved device is provided for cleaning particles from the plates of a two-stage electrostatic precipitator using a small stream of high velocity air which is moved over the face of the collecting cell. The cleaning device can operate without disturbing the normal operation of the precipitator. The improved cleaning device using a vacuum stream of air is particularly useful in a two-stage gas-cleaning electrostatic precipitator having a close-spaced collecting stage wherein the high voltage low voltage plates are spaced very close together, typically about 0.0625 inches apart.
