摘要： The system extracts water from lunar regolith and includes a regolith intake having a digging bucket that collects lunar regolith soil and a gravel separator that separates and discharges gravel and passes a mixture of ice-regolith powder having ice grains that are about 10-100 microns along the conveyor. A pneumatic separator receives the ice-regolith powder and pneumatically splits the ice-regolith powder into streams of different sized lithic fragments and ice particles per the ratio of inertial force and aerodynamic drag force of the lithic fragments and ice particles. Each split stream may include a magnetic separator that separates further the magnetic and paramagnetic lithic fragments from ice particles to discharge up to 80 percent of lithic fragments to slag.

摘要： Methods are provided for removing fine particles from crude oils extracted from mined oil sands using a non-aqueous extraction solvent. A bitumen derived from non-aqueous extraction of oil from oil sands can undergo optional physical separation to remove larger particles and then processed using electrostatic filtration to remove particle fines. This can allow for production of a bitumen product from a non-aqueous extraction process that has a sufficiently low particle content to be suitable for pipeline transport.

摘要： An electrostatic sorting apparatus having a multistage sorting unit including a plurality of sorting conveyor belts on sorting plates aligned vertically within a cover housing. Each sorting conveyor belt or plate has a trough-like channel formed thereon for sorting a mixture of insulating particles and conductive particles. The particles of the mixture are subjected to repeated cycles of charging with a negative polarity, being attracted to a high voltage electrode, discharging, and dropping downwardly into sorting and recovering hoppers. Thus, the particles are vigorously elevationally moved between the sorting conveyor belt or plate and the electrode up and down and are finally collected in hoppers. The particles are accordingly uniformly agitated in the channel of the sorting conveyor belt or plate. Thus, the mixture is separated into the hopper with an enhanced quality of compost while fine foreign materials mixed therewith are removed from the compost.
