    摘要: An electrostatic spray device including a voltage applicator and an isoelectric line adjustment electrode. The voltage applicator applies a voltage between a liquid sprayer and a heteropolar portion functioning as a pole opposite from a pole of the liquid sprayer to generate an electrostatic force. The isoelectric line adjustment electrode is made from a conductive material and adjusts equipotential curves appearing so as to surround the nozzle. The isoelectric line adjustment electrode obtains the equipotential curves at least partially drawing curvature gentler than curves of equipotential curves appearing near a front side of the nozzle in a state where the isoelectric line adjustment electrode is not disposed. The isoelectric line adjustment electrode is located near an outer periphery at a distal end of the nozzle and has an electric potential identical to an electric potential of the liquid sprayer such that the equipotential curves drawing the gentle curvature are obtained.

    摘要: An electrostatic coater capable of realizing high-level coating quality is provided. Shaping air SA, discharged from an air port, is directed radially outward. An elevation angle thereof preferably ranges from 10 to 20 degrees. Further, the shaping air SA is a flow in a state of being twisted in a direction opposite to the rotation direction R of a bell cup. The twisting angle about the axis O of the bell cup preferably ranges from 38 to 60 degrees. A liquid thread of paint extends radially outward from the outer peripheral edge of the bell cup, and the paint separated from the tip end thereof becomes a particle. It is preferable that the shaping air SA collides with the paint particle at a point P where the momentum of the paint particle is decreased of the paint particle is decreased.

    摘要: A current detection resistor is connected between an output terminal of a high voltage generator and an air motor. A coater current detector detects a coater current supplied to a coater based on a potential difference taking place on both terminals of the current detection resistor. The high-voltage control device serves to discriminate based on the coater current detected by the coater current detector whether the coater is caused to be close to a coating object. When it is discriminated that the coater is caused to be close to the coating object, the high-voltage control device outputs a shut-off signal for shutting off supply of the power supply voltage to the power supply voltage control device.

    摘要: A method of monitoring a rotary paint atomizer includes determining a target rotational speed, a target air flow rate, a target torque, and a target electrostatic current; and measuring an operating rotational speed, an operating air flow rate, an operating torque, and an operating electrostatic current. The method includes detecting at least one of a first condition in which the operating rotational speed differs from the target rotational speed, a second condition in which the operating air flow rate differs from the target air flow rate, a third condition in which the operating torque differs from the target torque, and a fourth condition in which the operating electrostatic current differs from the target electrostatic current. After detecting, the method includes producing an indicator signal indicative of at least one of the first, second, third, and fourth condition. A rotary paint atomizer system is also disclosed.
