Abstract:
The invention provides a positioning device for a saw blade elevating platform of a wood sawing machine. More specifically, when a transmission base for controlling a saw blade to elevate in the wood sawing machine is elevated to and positioned at a predetermined position, a predetermined pressing bar disposed in a guiding seat of a mounting seat, at which the elevating platform is located, is pressed by external screws to force the elevating platform to be positioned at a set position. Thus, the saw blade, which is rotated at the high rotating speed and is applied with a high reaction force, can be held absolutely stable, and the operating stability and the precision can be greatly enhanced.
Abstract:
A throat plate insert for a table saw is provided having a scale on the upper side thereof adjacent the region of the elongated slot for the circular saw blade. The scale provides an indication of the height of a specified diameter saw blade corresponding to the chordal length of a segment of saw blade protruding through the elongate slot.
Abstract:
A bevel table saw 10 comprising a table 14 supported by a frame 12, the table 14 defining a slot 16 for a saw blade 44, and a blade assembly 30 mounted to the frame 12 below the table 14 such that, in use, a saw blade 44 of the blade assembly 30 protrudes through the slot 16 to cut workpieces on the table 14, wherein the depth of cut of the saw blade 44 is adjusted automatically when bevel cuts are made in a workpiece. As a result, clashing of the blade assembly 30 with the underside of the table 14 or he frame 12 is automatically avoided, thereby simplifying se of the table saw 10 during the making of bevel cuts.
Abstract:
A cutting machine has a work table which defines a working surface and has a cutting tool which is attached to and movable with respect to the work table. The position of the cutting tool with respect to the working surface is controlled by a mechanism which elevates the cutting tool with respect to the working surface and angulates the cutting tool with respect to the working surface. The cutting tool is mounted to a support plate which is pivotably attached to the work table. The elevating mechanism includes a threaded rod and a nut which engages a pivoting link. The pivoting link also engages the cutting tool. Rotation of the threaded rod pivots the link which in turn raises and lowers the cutting tool. A spring biases the cutting tool towards its lower position to remove play between the components. The angulating mechanism includes a lever, two cams and a locking rod. Rotation of the lever moves the locking rod longitudinally due to the action between the two cams. The longitudinal movement of the rod compresses the support plate and frictionally engages the support plate against a work table bracket to maintain the position of the support plate with respect to the work table. Also included is an integral arbor wrench which is accessible when the throat plate is removed to lock the arbor to facilitate tool changing. The wrench is designed to not allow reassembling of the throat plate when the wrench is in engagement with the arbor shaft.
Abstract:
A saw blade position setting apparatus of a working table such as a table saw which is mounted on a support frame and to which a blade assembly is mounted with a handle assembly including a handle and a handle shaft held by the support frame to be rotatable and operatively connected to the blade assembly. The blade assembly is supported by a support member connected to the handle shaft. A clutch mechanism is selectively transmitting rotation of the handle to a blade assembly elevating mechanism and a blade assembly inclining mechanism. The elevational position and the inclination of the blade assembly are adjusted in accordance with the rotation of the handle assembly. A rack is secured to the support frame and the handle assembly is moved along the rack to a predetermined angle position. A lock lever is disposed in operative association with the handle assembly and operatively connected to the clutch mechanism. The lock lever serves to lock the support member to the predetermined angle position and is provided with a cam mechanism through which operation of the clutch mechanism is changed.
Abstract:
In a movable sawing unit for severing planar workpiece panels, which has a severing blade and a prescoring saw blade for cutting a prescore groove to prevent splintering of panels by the severing blade, a device for adjusting the depth of penetration of the prescoring saw blade. The prescoring saw blade is operably positioned in advance of the severing blade, upon a vertically movable support. A tactile element associated with the vertically movable support moves along a directing surface extending along the direction of advance of the workpiece panel, causing the prescoring saw blade to occupy a plurality of cutting positions.
Abstract:
The saw includes a sectional table top made up of one or more sections that may be opened to receive insertable conversion assemblies adapted to provide additional woodworking functions. A rotary saw blade is moveable reciprocatively with respect to the table top at selected angles of tilt and at selected heights. One or two rip fences are selectively positionable in parallel alignment with the rotary saw blade, and may be lowered to form lateral extensions of the table top. The table top includes dovetail grooves to receive attachment for a work piece clamp or an angle guide. A kerf guide is attachable to the rear edge of the table top.
Abstract:
A table miter saw includes a motor assembly and tilt plate assembly holding a blade within a table slot. The blade is mounted to the motor below a table supported by a glide assembly situated within a frame. A handle assembly and the tilt plate assembly are attached to the glide assembly and move the blade longitudinally within the slot. Control knobs operate a shaft to move gears within the tilt plates and change the angle of the blade. A brake lock assembly locks the angle of the blade. The height of the blade is set using a blade height lock in connection with the handle assembly. Mirrored miter fences are connected to the table top with gears for uniform angle change.
Abstract:
In at least one embodiment, a table saw includes a table, a moveable carriage supported by the table, a saw assembly supported by the carriage, and a pull rod coupled to the carriage. The pull rod is configured to move in a linear direction relative to the housing between a back position and a forward position. The carriage and saw assembly move in the linear direction when the pull rod is moved in the linear direction. A collar is positioned on the pull rod and configured to move in the linear direction between a locked position and an unlocked position. The pull rod is configured to move in the linear direction from the back position toward the forward position when the collar is in the unlocked position, and the pull rod is blocked from moving from the back position when the collar is in the locked position.
