    摘要: Manufacturing spectacle lenses using lens blanks blocked onto holding elements is laborious and time-consuming. Furthermore the manufacture is rendered difficult by different surface curvatures on the receiving side of the lens blanks. The purpose of the invention is to remedy such drawbacks. Accordingly this invention relates to equipment for processing lens blanks comprising a workpiece turret supported rotatably about a main axis of rotation, said turret being fitted with at least two workpiece receptacles configured each outside the main axis of rotation and being rotatable about spindle axes, each workpiece receptacle comprising a workpiece receiving surface having a surface curvature rotationally symmetrical about the spindle axis, whereby said surface curvatures of the workpiece receiving surfaces being different from each other.

    摘要: An eyeglass lens processing apparatus includes: a marking unit forming a mark on a lens; a mark position detector detecting a position of the mark; a controller performing roughing process and finishing process after the roughing process; and a positional deviation detector detecting a rotational deviation of the lens after the roughing process. The controller obtains a roughing path which allows, even if the lens rotates with respect to the lens chuck shafts by an angle at the time of the roughing process, the controller to perform the finishing process. The controller obtains an area in a process in which the mark and the target lens shape rotate on a chuck center of the lens chuck shafts by the angle, and computes the roughing path based on the area. The controller performs the roughing process based on the roughing path.

    摘要: An eyeglass lens processing apparatus includes: a processing chamber for processing the lens; a grinding water supply unit which includes a first switch unit for turning on/off a supply of grinding water to a first nozzle for ejecting grinding water toward a processing point of the lens; a cleaning water supply unit which includes a second switch unit for turning on/off a supply of cleaning water to a second nozzle for ejecting cleaning water for cleaning processing refuse of the lens scattered in the processing chamber. According to a selection signal indicating a material of the lens being plastic, the control unit controls the first switch unit to turn on the supply of the grinding water in whole processing processes, and controls the second switch unit to turn off the supply of the cleaning water in the whole processing processes.

    摘要: A method of the production of a plastic lens substrate is provided which comprises the steps of retaining a starting plastic block material on a processing material retainer, holding a processing tool on a tool holder, the processing tool having a processing end portion dimensioned to be smaller than the dimension of the block material, manipulating the processing tool and/or the block material to thereby subject both of the same to relative movement, and repeating the steps mentioned upon exchange of the processing tool for one for use in subsequent processing. The method leads, in automated manner with improved production efficiency and increased cost saving, to a plastic lens substrate having a lens surface such as a spherical surface, a toric surface, an aspherical surface, a progressive surface, a combination of aspherical and toric surfaces or a combination of progressive and toric surfaces. Also disclosed is an apparatus for producing the lens substrate.
