    Abstract: A processing apparatus includes a holding table and a processing unit. The processing unit includes a spindle unit having a spindle and a housing in which the spindle is rotatably supported. The processing unit is connected to a spindle temperature adjusting unit for adjusting the temperature of the spindle unit to a predetermined temperature. The spindle temperature adjusting unit includes a circulation route through which a cooling liquid to be introduced into the housing circulates and a heat exchanger connected to the circulation route. The heat exchanger is supplied with a processing liquid, to lower the temperature of the cooling liquid flowing in the circulation route with the processing liquid and increase the temperature of the processing liquid with the cooling liquid.

    Abstract: A diamond special-shaped grinding wheel includes an upper base body, a lower base body, and a grinding ring. The upper base body is disposed at the upper end of the lower base body, and the upper base body and the lower base body are fixedly connected to form a grinding wheel body. The grinding ring is fixed to an outer ring of the grinding wheel body; the grinding wheel body is internally provided with one or two annular grooves communicated with the upper end face of the grinding wheel body. A plurality of mixed flow channels is formed in the grinding ring.     Abstract: The evacuation properties of an abrasive disk are improved by forming its apertures to exhibit a configuration that will direct process fluids onto or away from a workpiece (or contact) interface through capillary action, surface tension/affinity, and/or boundary layer pump actions. The capillary action is accomplished by modifying the geometries of the apertures to form capillary tubes, where the orientation and lift angle of the capillary tubes is controlled to improve the flow of relatively thin layers of liquids. The surface tension/affinity between a liquid material and the abrasive disk is controlled by modifying the through-hole apertures to exhibit a serrated inner surface, which will decrease the attraction between the material of the abrasive disk and the process liquid. A plurality of apertured disks may be stacked, and their respective apertures properly arranged on each surface, to create a Tesla pump such that the kinetic energy associated with rotation of the disk assembly will preferentially bias both the vertical and tangential flow of liquids between the working surface and the disk assembly.
