    摘要: An adhesive sheet is disclosed including a flexible substrate and an adhesive layer formed on at least one of the main surfaces of the flexible substrate. The adhesive sheet further includes a plurality of microscopic holes connecting the opposing surfaces of the sheet and being generally perpendicular to them. Such adhesive sheet is permeable by air and allows good bubble escapability when the sheet is applied to an article. Sufficient permeability of the sheet to air is achieved with microscopic size holes installed in modest areal densities, hence the appearance and functionality of the film surface are not significantly adversely impacted. One intended use of the subject invention is for tinting films used to reduce light transmission in windows for use in buildings and automobiles. In this application visual appearance of the film is paramount. Another intended application of the subject invention is for antireflective film which is applied to electronic computer displays (flat panel, cathode ray tube) to reduce unwanted ambient light reflection and to improve contrast.

    摘要: A laminating blow molding method for making a hollow article includes the steps of forming 1 to 500 fine, holes per an area of 100 cm.sup.2 in a resin sheet by punching to thereby form projections as burrs on one side of the resin sheet, the diameter of the holes being between 0.1 mm and 1 mm; disposing the resin sheet between an outer surface of a parison extruded from a die and a mold so that the one side with the projections faces a cavity face of the mold; closing the mold so that the resin sheet is held between the cavity face of the mold and the outer surface of the parison; and heating the mold to a temperature exceeding a softening temperature of the resin sheet and simultaneously blowing the parison to perform blow molding. Thereafter, the mold is cooled and a molded article is taken out. In the method, the molded article with smooth outer surface can be obtained.

    摘要: The present invention relates to an in-mold label having a roughened inside surface to engage an article being molded in the mold. This roughened inside surface reduces air-entrapped blistering formed during molding, the air-entrapped blisters being between the label and the molded article. Preferably the label includes a plurality of perforations therein. To create the roughened inside surface at the time of perforating the label, the perforations are made by needles passing from the outside or exterior surface of the label through the inside surface thereby creating burrs on the inside surface; the inside surface being the surface which will engage the article to be molded. The label also preferably, in addition to the plurality of perforations and roughened inside surface, includes adhesive in a pattern on the inside surface.
