    摘要: A magnet is embedded in a flexible elastic material, providing a means of temporarily connecting the flexible elastic material to ferromagnetic objects. A rigid cup provides a container for anchoring the magnet in the flexible elastic material. The cup also provides a structure to bind with the flexible elastic material. The magnet rests in the base of the cup, which extends past the surface of the material, allowing the magnet's forces to extend outside the base of the cup. The remainder of the cup resides within the material.

    摘要: A vented finger ring and its method of manufacture are provided. The vented ring includes an outer ring portion, an inner ring portion, and an anti-stretch element positioned between the outer ring portion and the inner ring portion. The inner ring portion includes lateral grooves connected to inner grooves, the connected lateral grooves and inner grooves forming at least one fluid conduit from a first side of the vented ring to a second side of the vented ring. The method includes injecting a first material into a first mold to form an outer ring portion, injecting a second material into a second mold to form an inner ring portion, and positioning an anti-stretch element between the outer ring portion and the inner ring portion. The second mold includes at least one feature on a surface thereof, the at least one feature corresponding to connected lateral grooves and inner grooves on an inner surface of the inner ring portion.

    摘要: The subject matter disclosed herein relates to a method of producing a composite structure, such as an airframe or fuselage of an aircraft. The method comprises the steps of: arranging a first component within a cavity of a mold; arranging a second component adjacent the cavity of the mold containing the first component and sealing the cavity against the second component; injecting a polymer or resin into the cavity of the mold to infuse and/or pervade gaps or spaces between the first component and the second component; and curing or setting the polymer or resin within the mold to bond the first component with the second component and so form the composite structure. The subject matter disclosed herein also provides a system for carrying out the above method.
