The molding system may include a thermally-insulative barrel, a screw received inside the barrel and rotatable relative to the barrel, and a heat source received inside the barrel for heating an annular space defined between the barrel and the screw. The method of heating a material inside a molding system may include applying inductive heat to a magnetic screw positioned inside an insulative barrel to prepare a material for extrusion.

    摘要: An apparatus having a kneading part for performing kneading of a material and an injecting part for performing injection of the material in an injection molding operation with the kneaded material. The kneading part and the injecting part are connected together. The injecting part includes a weighing screw channel portion for weighing the material and a retention screw channel portion that is formed adjacently to the weighing screw channel portion. The injecting part has an injection screw shaft defining differently shaped channels that form a material retention space for retaining the material fed continuously quantitatively from the kneading part. Thereby, the material fed continuously quantitatively from the kneading part can be securely retained in the injecting part where intermittent operation is performed.

    摘要: This invention discloses an injection molding machine and a heat-insulating structure of a barrel thereof. The heat-insulating structure covers the barrel of the injection molding machine. The heat-insulating structure includes a plurality of heat-insulating units and a plurality of heat-resistant interlinings. The heat-insulating units are disposed on an outer surface of the barrel in turn along an axial direction of the barrel. The heat-resistant interlinings are located between the heat-insulating units and connect the heat-insulating units, respectively. Each heat-insulating unit includes a heat-resistant layer, a heat-insulating material layer, and an insulating layer in turn. The heat-resistant layer covers the outer surface of the barrel of the injection molding machine.

Conventional barrels and carriages direct axial carriage force through the entire length of the barrel. Reactive injection force is also directed through the entire length of the barrel. A barrel and carriage assembly is disclosed for isolating a barrel from axial forces. In one aspect of the invention, the entire barrel is isolated from axial carriage force. In another aspect of the invention, a portion of the barrel is isolated from axial carriage force. In another aspect of the invention, a portion of the barrel is isolated from reactive injection force.

    摘要: The invention relates broadly to injection molding machines and more particularly to a novel combination of a barrel and carriage assembly for use in an injection unit of an injection molding machine. Barrels are conventionally mounted at an end in a carriage of an injection unit. Axial carriage force is directed along the entire length of the barrel which requires a thick barrel wall to withstand the axial carriage force. In addition, installation of the barrel in a conventional carriage is difficult and time consuming, and prone to alignment errors. A barrel and carriage assembly is disclosed having a first complimentary couplers and a second complimentary couplers. The first couplers interlock to secure the barrel intermediate the ends of the barrel to a carriage. The second couplers retain an end of the barrel in the carriage preventing rotation of the barrel during operation.
