    Abstract: The disclosure is directed to an injection mold (1) comprising a mold insertframe (2) having several openings (3) extending in an axial direction (z). Each opening (3) accommodates a mold insert (4) encompassing a cavity (5), suitable to receive during operation melted plastic to form a plastic part. The several openings (3) with the mold inserts (4) are distributed around a center opening (6) of the mold insert frame (2). A nozzle head (7) is arranged in the center opening (6) of the mold insert frame (2). It comprises a primary melt channel (8), extending in the axial direction (z), and per cavity (5) a secondary melt channel (9) each interconnected at a dorsal end to the primary melt channel (8) and at a distal end to a cavity (5) by a nozzle tip (10) attached to the nozzle head (7). Each mold insert (4) comprises a first cooling channel (11) surrounding the cavity (5) and being in fluid communication with a first cooling circuit (12) across the mold insert frame (2).

    Abstract: A mold for molding a body or cap for a connector. The mold comprises a mold body (1) and an axial core (2) which together define a mold cavity in the shape of the body or cap. The core has a sleeve (3) and an inner pin (4) each having complementary castellations (8, 10) which interdigitate in a first configuration. In the first configuration, the castellations (8, 10) are arranged such that respective recesses (11) are formed each bound by the proximal end of a first castellation (8) and the side walls of adjacent second castellations (10). Each recess has a shape to form a respective first portion of the body or cap. The sleeve (3) and inner pin (4) are axially movable to a second configuration in which the castellations (8, 10) are disengaged from one another. The inner pin (4) is rotatable to a third configuration in which the first castellations (8) can be axially withdrawn following a path occupied by the second castellations (10) in the first configuration.

    Abstract: Provided herein are fluid handling tubes having a cap that includes a sealing member having interior grooves and panels. Also provided herein are fluid handling tubes having a cap that includes (i) a sealing member having a concave surface at a distal region, and (ii) a flat proximal surface. Provided also are fluid handling tubes having a cap that includes an engagement member at an edge of the cap, where the engagement member includes a surface having curvature and a taper. Also provided herein are fluid handling tubes that include a cap comprising a tube sealing member, an anterior engagement member, and one or more channels (e.g., one or more furrows or grooves) between the sealing member and the engagement member that function as a hinge or pivot. Also provided are fluid handling tubes that include (i) a cap having a sealing member that includes an annular protrusion, and (ii) a tube body having an interior surface that includes an annular recess, where the annular recess in the tube body is configured to receive the annular protrusion of the tubular sealing member of the cap.
