    摘要: The present disclosure is concerned with improving the appearance of graphics printed on a flexible polymer film which is subsequently heated to a forming temperature and then drawn into a mold to form a cavity adapted for the packaging of an item, typically a food item. The improvement is effected by reducing the heat transfer to the portions of the film carrying the graphics thereby reducing the formability of these portions so that they stretch less than the rest of the film which is drawn into the mold. Typically the film is heated by contact with a heated platen. In such cases the reduced heat transfer can be effected by having zones of a cooler temperature which are adapted to be in registry with the portions of the film carrying the graphics or by covering the portions of the heated platen in registry with these graphics with an insulating material such as Teflon tape. The mouth of the cavity can then be closed by sealing to another flexible polymeric film. If the films used are heat shrinkable, the sealed package can be subjected to thermal conditions which cause it to shrink about the packaged item.

    摘要: A method is provided for manufacturing a conical-shaped cover device from a transparent, thermally deformable sheet material. The method includes supporting the sheet material about a peripheral base portion of the conical-shaped cover device to be formed. The base portion substantially encloses an interior region thereof. This region is heated to a deformable condition that enables deformability thereof. At least one of a central portion of the interior region and the base portion of the conical shaped device is urged in a direction opposite one another, generally along the longitudinal axis of the conical-shaped cover device. A non-contacted conical intermediate portion of the conical shaped cover, between the central portion and the base portion, is formed in a manner that substantially preserves the optical and/or surface finish properties of the sheet material without the need for secondary processing thereof.

    摘要: An equipment for making a surface finish of a bra includes a conical first mold, a second mold having a hole to allow extension of the first mold, a textile sandwiched between the first mold and the second mold and a temperature controller to control the sections of the first mold to respectively have a specific temperature. The textile is able to have different elastic coefficients after the first mold in inserted into the hole of the second mold and the actuation of the heaters of the first mold by the controlling buttons of the temperature controller. Therefore, the surface finish from the textile is able to cope with different curvatures of the bra when stitched onto the bra.

    摘要: A thermoformer, which produces zero scrap during the heating, forming and cutting of a blister package uses a precut roll having a series of adjacent webs connected by a cut area. Each of the webs are defined by an overall length L, a width W, and a radius R. Each of the cut areas are defined by a cut depth D1, said cut depth D1 being in the range of about 25% to 90% of the width W of the webs. The thermoformer further comprises a heating station adapted to heat each of the webs, a forming station adapted to form each of the webs, and a cutting station adapted to separate the webs from each other, by making a cut along each of the cut areas connecting the webs.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for thermoforming 3-dimensional articles of chosen wall thickness dimensions from a polar polymer sheet. The polymer sheet is dielectrically heated, the heating being controlled to impress a predetermined thermal pattern on the sheet. The thermal pattern is selected in accordance with the amount of stretching to which each area of the sheet is subjected during the subsequent work-forming step, the areas subjected to greater stretching being heated to a lower temperature and vice versa. Thus, the stretching action is balanced and results in accurate control of the wall thickness of the final article.
