摘要: A hybrid transmission for a motor vehicle including a heat engine and a driving electrical machine, including two concentric primary shafts, each of which includes at least one intermediate drive on a secondary shaft connected to wheels of the vehicle. The transmission includes a first mechanism for coupling the two primary shafts together, and capable of assuming at least three positions, of positions in which: the heat engine is separated from the drive train connecting the electrical machine to the wheels; the heat engine drives the wheels with or without the assistance of the electrical machine; and the heat engine and the electrical machine are coupled together to add respective torques thereof to the wheels.

摘要: An engine is provided with an output shaft and a motor generator connection shaft of a crankshaft at ends of a crank case and adapted such that the output shaft can be connected with an external driven apparatus. A motor generator has stators relatively fixed to the crank case and a rotor coupled with the motor generator connection shaft and rotating relative to the stators. An external apparatus connection shaft is connected with the rotor and disposed at an end of the motor generator on the opposite side of the engine. A clutch is disposed between the motor generator connection shaft and the rotor. A power storage unit stores electric power generated by the motor generator and supplies the electric power to the motor generator. A controller switches between an electric power generation function and a motor function, and engages and disengages the clutch.

摘要: A power system includes an axial-flux motor/generator. The axial-flux motor/generator may include a housing, a first rotor supported at least partially from the housing, and a second rotor supported at least partially from the housing. The second rotor may be mechanically decoupled from the first rotor. The power system may also include a mechanical power source drivingly connected to the first rotor. Additionally, the power system may include power-system controls. The power-system controls may be operable to selectively cause the mechanical power source to drive the first rotor while the axial-flux motor/generator generates electricity with mechanical power the first rotor receives from the mechanical power source. The power-system controls may also be operable to selectively cause the axial-flux motor/generator to operate as an electric motor to rotate the second rotor. Additionally, the power-system controls may be operable to control torque on the first rotor and torque on the second rotor independently.

摘要: A power system for a motor vehicle having an internal combustion engine and an electric machine is disclosed. The electric machine has a stator, a permanent magnet rotor, an uncluttered rotor spaced from the permanent magnet rotor, and at least one secondary core assembly. The power system also has a gearing arrangement for coupling the internal combustion engine to wheels on the vehicle thereby providing a means for the electric machine to both power assist and brake in relation to the output of the internal combustion engine.

摘要: An electric machine (40) has a stator (43), a permanent magnet rotor (38) with permanent magnets (39) and a magnetic coupling uncluttered rotor (46) for inducing a slip energy current in secondary coils (47). A dc flux can be produced in the uncluttered rotor when the secondary coils are fed with dc currents. The magnetic coupling uncluttered rotor (46) has magnetic brushes (A, B, C, D) which couple flux in through the rotor (46) to the secondary coils (47c, 47d) without inducing a current in the rotor (46) and without coupling a stator rotational energy component to the secondary coils (47c, 47d). The machine can be operated as a motor or a generator in multi-phase or single-phase embodiments and is applicable to the hybrid electric vehicle. A method of providing a slip energy controller is also disclosed.

摘要: The present invention includes a novel regenerative energy management system having a flywheel assembly with an integrated motor-generator which is coupled to a drivetrain motor-generator. The coupling between the flywheel assembly and the drivetrain motor-generator includes a system controller having integrated voltage control and inverters. The flywheel of the present invention avoids the use of expensive bearings, vacuum systems, cooling systems, and other such support subsystems found in other high technology flywheels. The integration of the flywheel-motor-generator system saves valuable space within the vehicle, reduces the number of bearings necessary for operation, and simplifies the coupling of the flywheel motor generator to the flywheel. The system controller has integrated inverters and voltage control that determine the direction and flow of current between the flywheel assembly and the driveline motor-generator.

摘要: A hybrid traction system for the traction of a vehicle comprises an internal combustion engine, at least a first electric machine and at least a second electric machine, first transmission means suitable for being connected mechanically to said internal combustion engine and to at least one of said electric machines, second transmission means suitable for being connected mechanically to at least one of said electric machines and to the wheels of the vehicle; the system comprises furthermore connecting or restraining means suitable for enabling mechanical power to be transmitted to the wheels of the vehicle only by the internal combustion engine through said first transmission means and said second transmission means. This allows to drive the vehicle using only the internal combustion engine.

摘要: In a predetermined operating state of an electric motor of an axial air-gap type, control is carried out as follows. A phase difference between an electric current supplied to an armature winding of one of the stators and an electric current supplied to an armature winding of the other stator is set so as to suppress a variation in an output torque of the electric motor, and electric currents having the phase difference are supplied to the armature windings of the stators. A variation in output torque can be suppressed only in an operating state where the variation in output torque of the electric motor is to be suppressed, and the output torque and the energy efficiency of the electric motor can be enhanced sufficiently in the other operating states.

摘要: A drivetrain for a hybrid-electric vehicle (200), including an engine (210), a first electrical machine (220), a second electrical machine (230), and at least one driveshaft (260). The first (220) and second (230) electrical machines are axial-flux electrical machines. The first electrical machine (220) is arranged to be driven by the engine (210) so as to operate as a generator and to supply electrical power for the second electrical machine (230). The second electrical machine (230) is arranged to receive electrical power so as to operate as a motor and to drive the at least one driveshaft (260). The drivetrain includes a clutch (225) selectively operable to provide inter- engagement between the rotor of the first electrical machine (220) and the rotor of the second electrical machine (230) to transmit rotary power therebetween.
