The system includes a power train including a plurality of drive members and a hydraulic transmission configured to supply torque to at least one of the drive members. A magnitude of the torque is related to fluid flow in the hydraulic transmission. The system further includes a controller configured to control the fluid flow in the hydraulic transmission. The controller is configured to receive a signal indicative of a steering command and a signal indicative of a parameter related to pressure in the hydraulic transmission. The controller is further configured to control slip of the at least one drive member based on the signal indicative of a steering command and the signal indicative of a parameter related to pressure.

    摘要: A vehicle with a omni-directional cab having a circular frame revolvably coupled to a chassis having an axle, wheels and passenger seats. Two independent drive wheels located on an axis through the center of the cab are mounted at the same distance from a central vertical axis through the cab. Each wheel is powered independently and can rotate at variable speeds in either direction. The cab is capable of movement in any direction by rotating the axis of the drive wheels to a position which is perpendicular to the desired direction of travel. The cab can spin about its vertical axis such that the axis of the drive wheels can be oriented at any direction without changing the original footprint of the space that the frame occupies over the ground. Thus, the combined cab/chassis assembly can rotate about the vertical midpoint of the chassis axle.

    摘要: A vehicle transmission having a pair of left and right HSTs for driving respective axles is applicable for a riding lawn mower. The transmission comprises a center casing incorporating a distributing drive train. In the fore-and-aft direction, an input shaft of the distributing drive train projects from the center casing toward a prime mover, and a PTO shaft for driving a mower unit projects from the center casing opposite to the prime mover. A pair of left and right deceleration drive train casings for incorporating respective deceleration gear trains and supporting the respective axles are disposed on respective left and right sides of the center casing. A pair of left and right stepless transmission mechanisms, each of which is drivingly interposed between the distributing drive train and each of the deceleration gear trains in the deceleration gear train casings, are mounted on left and right side portions of the center casing opposite to the prime mover in the fore-and-aft direction.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for automatically steering a vehicle with hydrostatic steering is provided. The vehicle has a right hydraulic motor and a left hydraulic motor connected to right and left drive wheels, respectively. A pressurized hydraulic fluid source supplies a hydraulic fluid flow to the hydraulic motors, driving the wheels. A control valve system can divert a portion of a hydraulic fluid flow to either the right or left hydraulic motor, in response to a control signal from a control system, causing the hydraulic motor to slow the rotation of the connected wheel, turning the vehicle. The vehicle is automatically steered by the control system determining a steering direction required to steer the vehicle and causing a portion of a hydraulic fluid flow to a hydraulic motor driving a wheel of the vehicle to be diverted, slowing the wheel and steering the vehicle.
