Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for splicing a strip of material packaged in stacks arranged parallel to each other. The method comprises a step of reversely rotating the bottom end portion around the transverse edge of the bottom end portion and/or reversely rotating the top end portion around the transverse edge of the bottom end portion until the longitudinal tangential vector of the bottom end portion forms an angle of 90 and 270 degrees with the longitudinal tangential vector of the top end portion.

Abstract:
A method is provided to splice and/or repair films. The method comprises: a) applying a splicing composition to a first water-soluble, orally-ingestible film, a second water-soluble, orally-ingestible film or to both films; b) overlapping the first water-soluble, orally-ingestible film on the second water-soluble, orally-ingestible film to form a splice between the first water-soluble, orally-ingestible film and the second water-soluble, orally-ingestible film; and c) allowing the splice to dry or cure, wherein the splicing composition comprises at least one animal-consumable solvent and, optionally, at least one orally-ingestible polymer.
Abstract:
An improved method for bonding webs. The method includes overlapping two webs, slitting the two webs, reoverlapping the two webs and bonding the two webs together. The steps of reoverlapping the two webs may be accomplished with a number of different types of devices including but not limited to: a bumpered roll, a notched roll, a crowned roll, a bowed roll, an out of plane roll, and variable speed rolls.
Abstract:
The present invention includes a first weight scale that senses first information necessary when acquiring the residual amount of a first composite material sheet wound on a first support rod; a second weight scale that senses second information necessary when acquiring the residual amount of a second composite material sheet wound on a second support rod; a first cutting part for cutting the first composite material sheet; a second cutting part for cutting the second composite material sheet; a pressure-bonding mechanism that pressure-bonds the first composite material sheet and the second composite material sheet; and a control device that controls the first cutting part, the second cutting part, and the pressure-bonding mechanism.
Abstract:
An assembly for feeding backing ribbon for adhesive labels for labeling products to be labeled includes a splicing device and at least two supporting elements for the backing ribbon. The splicing device is intended to perform on command the splice between a first splicing region, formed on a first backing ribbon, and a second splicing region, formed on a second backing ribbon. The first backing ribbon supports a plurality of adhesive labels which are arranged, mutually spaced, on the face directed toward the second splicing region. The first backing ribbon has at least one portion that is free from self-adhesive labels and forms the first splicing region; the portion is located substantially at the end of the first backing ribbon.
Abstract:
A web splice for attaching two webs, such as paper webs used in paper converting operations. The web splice comprises a non-linear butt joint. The butt joint forms an acute included angle (α) with the side edges.
Abstract:
An assembly for feeding backing ribbon for adhesive labels for labeling products to be labeled, comprising a splicing device and at least two supporting elements for the backing ribbon, the splicing device being intended to perform on command the splice between a first splicing region, formed on a first backing ribbon being unwound from a first supporting element, and a second splicing region, formed on a second backing ribbon wound on a second supporting element, the first backing ribbon supporting a plurality of adhesive labels which are arranged, mutually spaced, on the face directed toward the second splicing region; the first backing ribbon having, when associated with the respective first supporting element, at least one portion that is free from self-adhesive labels and forms the first splicing region; the portion is located substantially at the end of the first backing ribbon that is associated with the first supporting element.
Abstract:
A method of delivering film to a tubular shrink film applying machine involves the use of one or more containers that may include wheels enabling film transport, where film is unwound from rolls into the containers. A machine for dispensing tubular shrink film from rolls into containers in a controlled manner is also provided.
