摘要: While a winding member is making one rotation, an optical fiber is once skewed relative to the circumferential direction and further shifted by a desired length in the width direction of a circumferential surface. In this state, the winding member winds up the optical fiber. This operation is performed in the same direction every rotation when the winding member rotates (N−1) times. Next, in the N-th rotation of the winding member, a guide member performs the guide to the optical fiber to skew reversely to the direction of shifting in the (N−1) rotations of the winding member.

摘要: A plurality of relatively long wires having the same diameter are bundled together to obtain a bundle wire in a continuous wire bundling process. A wire bundling device includes a plurality of reels rotated by a rotating drive and wind a wire while a first end is engaged. A wire second-end pressing device collects and presses a second end of each of a plurality of wires having a predetermined length which is fed from a single spool and individually wound around each of a plurality of reels. The wires are withdrawn in a collected state from the reels by a withdrawing device between the plurality of reels and the wire second-end pressing device. The wire second-end press includes first and second pressing devices. The reels are rotated by an electric motor with a contact roller that rotates in contact with an outer circumference of the reel. The motor can be moved so that the contact roller selectively makes contact with the outer circumferences of the reels.

摘要: A method for handling a fiber reinforced tube the tubular wall of which has a stiffness which allows the tube to maintain a nominal circular cross section of its own, the tube including a liner, a fiber reinforcement surrounding the liner and a coating surrounding the fiber reinforcement, includes the steps of: flattening the tube so as to obtain a non-circular shape, such as an oval or elliptical shape, subsequently winding the flattened tube onto a reel. Thanks to the method, a combination of a wound flattened tube and a reel is obtained which is fit for road transport.

摘要: A system and method for coiling and sealing an elongate, flexible component includes a coiler and a sealer positioned beneath the coiler. The coiler includes a rotatable central core and a feeding tube for guiding and transferring a free end of the flexible component onto the central core to form a coil. The coil is then dropped in a generally vertical downward direction from the coiler into a partially-sealed and partially-opened container positioned beneath the coiler and disposed within the sealer. The sealer seals the remaining one or more open sides of the container and then drops the coil encased within the sealed container in a generally vertical downward direction onto a conveyor. The container may be made of a heat-shrinkable material and the conveyor may transport the sealed container into a heat-shrink oven to heat shrink the container around the coil.

摘要: A flexible tubing for fine bubble aeration is provided with an air passageway defined in part by an upper portion and a lower portion. The tubing can be made of a uniform weighted material with more material in the lower portion than in the upper portion. This makes the tubing self-orienting, in that it will tend to orient itself with micro-slits along the upper portion facing upward and the lower portion facing downward when submerged in a body of water. An automated, one-stage production line converts raw tubing material to a finished tubing product without the need for separate processing. A method of coiling the tubing places the micro-slits approximately 90° away from the surface of a spool hub, thereby avoiding a longitudinal arch in the tubing and ultimately preventing roll-over and improper slit orientation after installation in a water body.
