    摘要: Friction devices are provided for a conical package core in positions near the large end of the core and intermediate the ends of the core. A creeling tail is wound on the large end of the core while the drive near that end is effective to rotate the core. When the strand being wound is transferred to a traversing strand guide, the strand is moved to and fro along the rotating core to produce a helical winding of the strand over the core between the small end and the creeling tail. The strand coming between the core and the intermediate drive lifts the core out of engagement with the drive at the large end.

    摘要: A yarn winder in which a fluctuation of winding tension is avoided and the winding characteristics are made uniform from the most inner to the most outer layer. Yarn is wound by a winder in which a spindle 2 having a positively driven pressure roller 5 is positively driven, the pressure roller 5 being positioned so that it is not in contact with a tube 100 immediately after the yarn setting operation. After a predetermined amount of yarn layer has been wound on the tube 100, the pressure roller 5 is moved so that it contacts the yarn layer on the tube 100. The surface speed of the pressure roller 5 is controlled to be higher than that of an empty tube until the yarn is switched to the empty tube, wherein the controlled speed is approximately the same as or lower than the surface speed of a fully loaded tube, and the surface speed of the pressure roller is controlled to be approximately the same as the surface speed of the empty tube after the yarn has been switched to the empty tube.

    摘要: A composite yarn engaging roll for textile machines which is adapted for mounting on the shaft of a machine and which comprises two semi-cylindrical members is disclosed. Each of these members has an outer portion with an outer semi-cylindrical surface complementary with the outer surface of the other member which forms a cylindrical outer surface of the composite roll. The members also have an inner portion with an inner semi-cylindrical surface spaced from the outer semi-cylindrical surface and complementary with the inner surface of the other member to form an inner semi-cylindrical surface of the composite roll. The composite roll is dimensioned for mounting on a shaft. The composite also has an axially extending web portion disposed between the inner and outer portions of each member. Each member also contains a device for releasably interlocking the two members which is incorporated into the web portion of each member and disposed for axial sliding engagement with the releasably interlocking device of the other member for interlocking the two semi-cylindrical members in an interlocked position to form the composite roll.

    摘要: An apparatus for winding a thread or the like upon a rotatable, conical bobbin tube by means of a rotatable friction drive drum containing a plurality of rotational elements adjacently arranged upon a common drive or driving shaft and contacting the bobbin package along a generatrix. A first one of the rotational elements is rigidly rotatably connected with the drive shaft and at least two further rotational elements are freely rotatably mounted upon a respective rotational or rotary bearing mounted at the drive shaft. In one specific embodiment a respective one of these two further elements is provided at each end of the first element and such further elements are intercoupled by a differential gear arrangement. Due to the differing surface speeds of the bobbin package and the friction drive drum abrasion or scuffing occurs at the site of mutual contact of the bobbin package and the friction drive drum, such abrasion damaging the wound thread material. This abrasion is reduced to a considerable degree with the invention. Also there is afforded a reliable drive of the bobbin package, such that owing to the resultant constancy of the mean thread tension, it is sufficient to provide a non-controlled driven and therefore simpler thread storage. In the special constructural embodiment the size of the prevailing friction surface of the friction drive drum is equal to that of a non-subdivided friction drive drum, but the abrasion action is practically avoided.

    摘要: A clutch device interposed between a driving shaft 1 and a drum 2-4 rotatably mounted thereon to drive frictionally a yarn winding bobbin in a spinning, twisting or doubling frame comprises a cylindrical sleeve 5 carried by shaft 1, a string 6 wound on sleeve 5 and having one end attached to the hub 2 of drum 2-4, a plate 9 slidable on shaft 1 and to which the other end of string 6 is attached, a frictional abutment ring 11 secured to shaft 1, a spring 10 to apply plate 9 against ring 11, and a pusher 14 by means of which plate 14 may be moved apart from abutment 11 to de-clutch drum 2-4 from shaft 1. A frictional lining 13 is disposed on ring 11 to enhance its driving effect on plate 9 to more tightly wind string 6 on sleeve 5. Another frictional lining is provided on pusher 11 to act on plate 9 when the latter is disengaged from ring 11. A ring 16 mounted in the open end of drum 2-4 and equipped with a frictional lining 17 cooperates with the free edge of the cylindrical extension 9a of plate 9 to brake the drum at the end of the de-clutching stroke of pusher 14. In a modification string 6 is replaced by a solenoid of plastic material surrounded by an expansion limiting sleeve and a torque limiting system is interposed between the end of this solenoid and the drum.
