摘要: A method for making a carbonated precast concrete product includes: obtaining a mixture including at least one binder material, an aggregate, and water; molding the mixture into a molded intermediate; demolding the molded intermediate to obtain a demolded intermediate, the demolded intermediate having a first water-to-binder ratio; conditioning the demolded intermediate to provide a conditioned article having a second water-to-binder ratio less than the first water-to-binder ratio of the demolded intermediate; moisturizing at least one surface of the conditioned article with an aqueous medium, thereby causing a weight gain of the conditioned article and providing a moisturized product, a first portion of the moisturized product having a third water-to-binder ratio greater than a fourth water-to-binder ratio of a remainder of the moisturized product; and curing the moisturized product with carbon dioxide to obtain the carbonated precast concrete product.

摘要: In one aspect, methods of storing one or more combustion waste products are described herein. Combustion waste products stored by a method described herein can include solid combustion waste products such as coal ash and/or gaseous combustion products such as carbon dioxide. In some embodiments, a method of storing carbon dioxide comprises providing a carbon dioxide storage medium comprising porous concrete having a macroporous and microporous pore structure and flowing carbon dioxide captured from a combustion flue gas source into the pore structure of the porous concrete.

摘要: A method for manufacturing concrete parts has the steps of: providing a hydraulic cement and aggregate; mixing the cement and aggregate with water to provide a fresh concrete; introducing CO2 into the fresh concrete in an amount resulting in a carbonation degree of more than 0.5 wt.-% and less than 5 wt.-% of the total carbonatable Ca and Mg phases for a first carbonation step; curing the fresh concrete until at least 15 wt.-% of the calcium aluminates are hydrated to provide a green concrete part; subjecting the green concrete part to CO2 in an amount resulting in a carbonation degree of more than 10 wt.-% of the total carbonatable Ca and Mg phases for a final carbonation step; and storing the part for 0.5 hours to 28 days for further hydration of not-yet carbonated, not-yet hydrated cement to provide the concrete part. and concrete parts obtainable with the method.

摘要: A method of producing a carbonated composite material includes: providing a carbonatable cementitious material in particulate form; mixing the carbonatable cementitious material with water to produce a mix; forming a predetermined shape with the mix, wherein the predetermined shape has an initial pore structure containing an initial pore solution having a first pH; pre-conditioning the predetermined shape to remove a predetermined amount of the water from the predetermined shape to produce a pre-conditioned shape; carbonating the pre-conditioned shape in an environment comprising carbon dioxide to produce a modified pore structure containing a modified pore solution having and a second pH, wherein the difference between the first pH and the second pH is represented by a ΔpH, and the ΔpH is 1.0 or less.

In the event of cement-matrix failure, or bonding failure between the cement/casing interface or the cement/borehole-wall interface, the material swells when contacted by carbon dioxide. Ultra-lightweight aggregate (ULWA) may be formed using the ULWC. A method for producing ULWC panels, includes: printing creases on alkali-resistant fiber paper sheets; folding the fiber paper sheets along the creases; affixing the folded fiber paper sheets into a 3D structure with open channels; injecting atomized brine water into surfaces of the open channels; and injecting CO2 gas into the open channels until filled with carbonate crystals.

摘要: The disclosure relates to a method for controlling carbonation synthesis of silicon and/or aluminium carbonate minerals, wherein the concentration of dissolved silicon and/or aluminium in a mix to be cured is adjusted to at least 1 mmol/1 before curing he mix with gas comprising carbon dioxide (CO2) having a partial pressure of CO2 of at least 0.15 bar. In some embodiments of the isclosure an alkaline substance is added to the raw material to provide the mix where the total concentration of dissolved silicon and/or aluminium of at least 1 mmol/l. The disclosure also relates to a product obtainable by the methods of the disclosure as well as to the use of the product as building material, preferably for producing concrete-like products, more preferably for elements, most preferably for pre-casted elements and to the use of the method in construction industry or for production of elements and/or pre-casted elements.
