    摘要: A method of producing the high molecular weight polycarbodiimide comprises the steps of providing an isocyanate component comprising toluene diisocyanate (TDI), a carbodiimidization catalyst, and a first solvent. The method further comprises the step of polymerizing the isocyanate component in the first solvent and in the presence of the carbodiimidization catalyst to produce a reaction mixture including at least one carbodiimide compound and the first solvent. In addition, the method comprises the step of combining a second solvent and the reaction mixture. Finally, the method comprises the step of polymerizing the at least one carbodiimide compound for a second period of time in the first and second solvents and in the presence of the carbodiimidization catalyst to produce the high molecular weight polycarbodiimide.

    摘要: Novel diphenylmethane diisocyanate composition that comprises diphenylmethane diisocyanate, a diphenylmethane diisocyanate uretonimine group-containing derivative, a reaction product of diphenylmethane diisocyanate and a diol of number average molecular weight less than 250 and optionally methylene bridged polyphenyl polyisocyanates of isocyanate functionality higher than two, the composition having a content of 2,4 isomer between 2 and 50%. The novel composition is highly stable. The invention also provides a process for its preparation, process for making polyurethane articles using the composition of the invention, as well as the polyurethane articles thus obtained.

    摘要: Process for preparing a flexible polyurethane foam by reacting a polyisocyanate and two different polyols under foam forming conditions so as to prepare a rigid foam and by crushing the rigid foam so obtained in a direction perpendicular to the direction of rise of the foam. Flexible foams are obtained which do not show a major glass transition temperature between −100° C. and +25° C. and which have an anisotropy of 1.80 to 4.00.

    摘要: A method for producing a modified polyisocyanurate foam by reacting an organic polyisocyanate, polyol and water in the presence of a trimerizing catalyst composed of a certain hydroxyalkyl quaternary ammonium compound, and a carbodiimidizing catalyst composed of a certain phosphorene oxide. The method enables production of low density modified polyisocyanurate foams with ease and rapidly without using volatile blowing agents such as CFC, HCFC, HFC and methylene chloride.
