    摘要: Provided are compounds and methods for modifying a material to change properties of the material, as well as a variety of products obtained using the methods. The material which is modified may be, for example, a carbohydrate, and the modifiable functional groups on the material may be hydroxyls. Multifunctional molecules for use in modifying the surfaces of materials such as textile fibers, yams and other fabrics made of or, including cotton, wool and nylon, are provided. The multifunctional molecules can include hydrophobic regions and/or hydrophilic regions. The multifunctional molecules also may include binding functional groups that permit either non-covalent or covalent binding to the material being modified, thus permitting the multifunctional molecule to form a non-covalent or covalent coating on the material. The methods and compounds disclosed herein may be used to modify materials to improve properties such as resistance, grease repellency, soil resistance permanent press properties, and quickness of drying.

The process involves heatsetting a textile material, then applying a polysiloxane/catalyst combination to the heatset material. The textile material is then dried at low temperature, thereby resulting in a material having good colorfastness and shade. The process can be used to process fibers, yarns or fabrics, and is particularly useful in the processing of microdenier fibers.

    摘要: A process for aftertreating dyed textile material consisting of or containing polyester fibres and thus preventing oligomer deposits on the dyeings, which process comprises treating said textile material at a temperature below the glass transition point of the polyester fibres with an aqueous emulsion of an oligomer-dissolving substance which consists of(a) an ester of an aliphatic or aromatic carboxylic acid with an aliphatic or araliphatic monoalcohol containing 1 to 10 carbon atoms,(b) an aliphatic or aromatic halogenated hydrocarbon,(c) a non-ionic adduct of not more than 10 moles of alkylene oxide with alcohols, fatty acids or amines, each containing 8 to 22 carbon atoms, or with phenols which can be substituted by alkyl or phenyl, the cloud point of said adduct being below the application temperature, or(d) a polyethylene oxide/polypropylene oxide block polymer, the hydrophobic polyoxypropylene moiety of which has a molecular weight of 800 to 4000, and the hydrophilic moiety of the entire molecule is from 10 to 35% by weight, the cloud point of said block polymer being below the application temperature,Or which consists of a mixture of said substances (a), (b), (c) and (d).
