摘要:
The present invention discloses an ecological building which employs an insulation layer filed with an insulation chip made of at least one selected from a group of conifer leaves, rice straws, wheat straws, paper, and a processed product thereof instead of using a conventional inorganic insulation material like a petrochemical foam or mineral wool, and achieves an improvement in both charging and discharging of the insulation chip to be recycled, and an insulation structural body for the building, and a method for assembling the insulation structural body. The insulation structural body is characterized by including: a support member consisting of a plurality of pillar members each having an outer and an inner vertical pillar separated from each other with a given interval by means of a plurality of horizontal ribs alternately arranged on both sides thereof; outer panels joined to the outer vertical pillars of the pillar members of the support member so as to form the outside; inner panels joined to the inner vertical pillars of the pillar members of the support member so as to form the inside; insulation chips filling the space between the outer and the inner panel and the space between the outer and the inner vertical pillar; a discharging plate connected to a discharging opening formed in at least one of the outer panels so as to be opened and closed; and a charging plate connected to a charging opening formed in at least one of the inner panels so as to be opened and closed.

Disclosed is waterproofing sheeting that uses a polyester layer that provides high lateral stability and puncture resistance. The waterproof sheeting can be used in many applications including waterproof roof underlayments, waterproof sheeting for foundations, underlayment for tile and flooring and various other applications. The waterproof sheeting can be manufactured without many of the problems associated with the granular coatings of existing waterproof sheeting that create excessive wear and environmental hazards.

A sealed attic insulating and roof ventilating system has a receiver (lath) material attached to adjacent pairs of rafters and an insulation material secured to the lower surface of the receiver material. This arrangement creates an uninterrupted plenum between the receiver, rafters and roof decking through which air can circulate from the lower roof vents to the upper roof vents. The circulation of air through the plenum prevents moisture from accumulating or condensing under the roof decking and warping the decking, which ultimately leads to deterioration of the decking and failure of the roof covering. This air circulation also eliminates ice damming on the top surface of the roof covering.

Embodiments of the invention provide systems and methods for insulating a component of a home or building. An insulated component may include a generally planar surface and a frame positioned atop one side of the generally planar surface. The frame may include a plurality of outer studs coupled together to form an outer periphery and inner studs that divide the frame into one or more sections. One or more of the sections may include a cavity or hollow space. The insulated component may also include a first layer of insulation within one or more of the cavities. The first layer of insulation may include a pour insulation material that transitions from a liquid state or phase to a solid state or phase.

A surface is insulated by applying an elastomeric foam material. In one embodiment, the elastomeric foam material comprises a polyurethane foam that is formed on-site by reacting an isocyanate with a polyol. In one embodiment, the polyol may include a polyol chain extender and/or a plasticizer. In one embodiment, the elastomeric foam material forms an air barrier against a surface. After the elastomeric foam material is installed, a fibrous insulation material may be then placed over the foam layer.

A method for installing a radiant barrier in a building, particularly on an attic floor, is carried out by randomly distributing shreds of a thin, reflective foil in an attic space to form a bed of foil shreds on the attic floor. The foil shreds reflect longwave radiation and thereby provide a radiant barrier which reduces radiant heat transfer in the attic space. An insulating material useful in such a method includes a bat of insulation disposed, for example, on an attic floor, and a bed of reflective foil shreds covering the layer of insulation.

The subject apparatus is designed to facilitate the installation of blown insulation during construction of building assemblies. In a typical embodiment, there is provide a length or strip of friction clip configured to provide a tight grip along the outer surface of a framing member such as a stud, thereby maintaining tension on a masking film or web thereby affixed to an array of studs. The masking film arrayed in such manner thereby defines a plurality of voids or cavities which may thereafter be filled with blown insulation and then finished with wall paneling. The friction clips are designed to complement conventional framing members. Thus, one embodiment described below is suitable for a solid stud such as lumber or polymer; other embodiments are designed to be affixed to steel light framing members such as C-studs and similar profiles.

A bracket for a building module. The bracket has a platform bearing a substantially planar surface, first and second sides appending from the platform away from the planar surface, and a bottom panel extending from the first side to the second side. Each of the first and second sides defines a proximal portion and a distal portion therealong. The distal portion of the first side is inwardly directed toward the distal portion of the second side. There is also a building module, a method for making a building module, and a method for constructing a building.
