摘要: A ladder for using in the process of manufacturing a rotor blade by leaning the ladder against the rotor blade being manufactured and climbing thereon is provided, including two rails and a plurality of rungs, wherein the rails include a solid structure elastically bendable by the weight of a person climbing thereon in order to align a bending radius of the rails, resulting from an elastic bending of the rails, to an outer radius of the rotor blade being manufactured. A step-portion for the inventive ladder and a system including the inventive ladder is also provided.

摘要: A brace locking mechanism locks the foldable braces of a folding ladder in the open position. The brace locking mechanism is used with a ladder that has a stepped unit and a support unit foldably attached to the stepped unit with a foldable brace extending between the stepped unit and the support unit. The brace locking mechanism comprises a lock block that is movable between a locked position in which the lock block prevents the foldable braces from moving out of their open position when the ladder is open, and an unlocked position in which the ladder may be folded into the storage position.

摘要: A vertically orientated ladder apparatus allowing a climber to adopt an improved climbing stance wherein the climber's arms are poised economically in front of the climber within the climbing passage; the climber's legs are spread for the lateral stability of the climber so as to reduce the tendency of the climber falling sideways; and the climber is substantially upright such that the climber's centre of gravity lies substantially between the opposing steps (11) so as to allow the climber to release the climber's grip on the hand rails (14) while remaining balanced and supported by the legs of the climber. Opposing steps (11) are level or staggered. Embodiments include three or four stiles (12, 15).

摘要: A ladder is designed for a tank having a vertically extending side wall and a top of a convex curved profile, with an access point near the top center of the convex curved top, the ladder having a pair of parallel side rails, each side rail having a straight section at one end and a curved section at the other end, the curved section extending over the top of the tank and toward the access point, with plurality of rungs extending between and secured to the side rails, with at least one rung positioned in the straight section of the side rails and at least one rung positioned in the curved section of the side rails. A separate hand grip may be mounted on the tank between the ladder and the access point of the tank.

摘要: A tactical footbridge comprises two or more bridge segments and one or more pivotal connection assemblies. The one or more pivotal connection assemblies engage two of the at two or more bridge segments. Each pivotal connection assembly comprises a first member, a second member, a first axial connector, and a second axial connector. The first member engages a first of the two bridge segments. The first member has a pivot hole and a bridge hole. The second member engages a second of the two bridge segments. The second member also has a pivot hole and a bridge hole. The first axial connector selectively extends through the pivot holes of the first and second members to pivotally connect the two bridge segments such that the connected bridge segments selectively pivot between a collapsed position in which the connected bridge segments are proximal to one another, and a bridge position in which the connected bridge segments are in an expanded angularly-disposed relationship with one another. The second axial connector selectively extends through the bridge holes of the first and second members to substantially secure the connected bridge segments in the bridge position.

摘要: A ladder with first (10), second (11), third (12) and fourth (13) linear sections, the first and second sections being joined by a first joint section (20), the second and fourth sections being joined by a second joint section (21), and the third and fourth sections being joined by a third joint section (22). At least the first and third joint sections are preferably lockable and/or have a limited range of motion. When used with a window, the first section rests against the interior of the structure and prevents the ladder from being pulled out of the window. The second section lies on the windowsill and provides support for the ladder. The third section rests against the exterior of the structure to provide an angle for the ladder. The fourth section provides the rungs on which the worker stands to clean the windows.

摘要: A gate hingedly connected to a staircase. The gate hinge is blow-molded integrally with the gate body. A mounting post has on one portion a hinge pin for receiving the gate hinge, and the other portion has a pair of parallel resilient sheets for receiving an edge portion of the staircase. Two staircases are attached back-to-back by vertical flanges each of which is offset from a vertical center plane of the respective back wall portion and has a vertical surface which is co-planar with the vertical center plane. The corners of the staircase are individually height adjustable by internally threaded portions which receive threaded rods. The internal threads are formed as part of the blow-molding process. A hole to the interior of the staircase or other article is formed as part of the blow-molding process.
