    摘要: A sensor assembly for a rock bolt, wherein the rock bolt includes a central rod, a split tube and a wedge anchor assembly fitted around the central rod, a rock plate, and a nut for attachment to an outer end of the central rod. The sensor assembly includes a distance sensor, a bracket for attaching the distance sensor to an outer portion of the split tube, an elongate spacing member configured to be fitted around the split tube between the nut and the rock plate to keep the nut and the rock plate spaced apart. The spacing member has an opening extending along at least a portion of the length thereof, the opening being sized large enough to allow movement of the bracket along a portion of the length of the spacing member with the distance sensor attached to the outer portion of the split tube by the bracket.

The method quantitatively achieves parameterized model selection of the bursting-preventing hydraulic support of roadway.

    摘要: A hanging wall movement detection apparatus includes a rigid elongate member which extends between a first end and a second end, an indicator module which produces a warning signal when actuated, axially movably engaged with the elongate member, a ground engaging support which rigidly supports the indicator module off the ground, an actuator engaged with the elongate member between the first end and the indicator module, a biasing separator between the actuator and the indicator module. The actuator is drawn towards the indicator module, compressing the biasing separator, when the elongate member experiences a pulling force at the second end in an axial direction away from the indicator module, and the actuator contacts the indicator module to actuate the module to produce a warning signal if the pulling force is of a sufficient magnitude to overcome the bias of the biasing separator.

    摘要: Systems and methods are described for monitoring a condition of a mine roof using a longwall mining system. A plurality of powered roof supports is controlled to apply an adjustable support pressure on a mine roof. A condition of the mine roof is monitored based on the adjustable support pressure applied to the roof by a respective actuator of each powered roof support. In some implementations, the condition of the mine roof is monitored by generating and analyzing a graphical pressure map based on the adjustable support pressure applied by each powered roof support and a relative position of a shearer moving across the mine face. In some implementations, roof collapse events are detected based on temporally similar changes in the adjustable support pressure applied by multiple adjacent powered roof supports as indicated by the graphical pressure map.

    摘要: An extensometer for measuring changes in the vertical distance between the roof and floor of a mine opening which comprises; a pair of rigid telescoping members, a tension spring securing said members to each other in a telescoping relationship, a hook for attaching a non-extensible cable to each of said members, and an indicator for determining telescopic movement of said members. The extensometer of this invention is utilized by securing one of said telescoping members to the roof of the mine and the other telescoping member to the floor of the mine with the axis of said members being disposed along the vertical. The telescoping members are secured, under tension, to the mine roof and floor by means of a non-extendible cable such as a steel cable. The indicator for determining the telescopic movement of the members may be a pair of lugs or flanges or other indicating marks, each member of which pair is affixed to a separate telescoping member.

    摘要: A ferrite core is suspended from the base of a borehole in a tunnel roof structure and is positioned within coil turns located at the roof surface such that movement of the roof structure causes displacement of the core with respect to the coil turns thus producing a change in inductance. The coil and core are incorporated as a frequency-determining element in an LR oscillator. Therefore, movement of the tunnel roof structure is reflected as a change in the frequency of the oscillator. This frequency is monitored and, if the change exceeds a predetermined threshold, an alarm is given. Several methods of suspending the core in the coil are disclosed, one of which allows for a non-verticle borehole.

    摘要: A rod extensometer which can be inserted into a hole drilled into the roof or floor of an underground excavation to monitor the shifting of material surrounding the excavation. The extensometer has a head which is anchored in the inner end portion of the hole by a hardened synthetic plastic substance, an annular section which is inserted into the outer end portion of the hole and is bonded to surrounding material, and a set of interconnected coaxial cylindrical rods one of which is rigid with the head and another of which extends through the annular section. Changes in distance between the outer end of the other rod and the annular section are indicative of movement of material surrounding the inner end portion of the hole relative to material surrounding the outer end portion of the hole and/or vice versa. The head has an externally threaded member which is bonded to the surrounding material and a blade-like or conical breaker member located forwardly of the externally threaded member and serving to break a cartridge which contains separate supplies of a hardenable synthetic plastic bonding substance and a hardening agent for such substance. The annular section of the extensometer has a nut and washer which abuts against the exposed surface of material bounding the outer end portion of the hole, and the outer end of the other rod has flats which can be engaged by a torque transmitting device serving to rotate the rods and the head. Two identical or dissimilar extensometers can be installed in two coaxial holes to facilitate additional measurements, such as changes in the distance between the two heads, changes in the distance between the two nuts, as well as changes in the distance between each head and the respective nut.
