    摘要: A method for real-time testing of a control unit for an internal combustion engine using a simulator is provided. The control unit and the simulator are connected to one another by a first data channel. The control unit transmits engine control data to the simulator through the first data channel and the simulator calculates engine state variables in real time on its first simulator processor with a first sampling step size and transmits at least some of the engine state variables to the control unit. Thus, selected engine state variables can be made available at a different frequency, and in particular at a higher frequency, than is possible by the first sampling step size of the first simulator processor, in that the simulator calculates at least one specific engine state variable using a partial engine model and with a second sampling step size different from the first sampling step size.

The method includes receiving a first pressure measurement from a first sensor associated with a gas cylinder, receiving a design schema describing an intake manifold, the intake manifold included within the gas engine, segmenting the design schema into a plurality of segments, defining a fluid dynamics model associated with each of the plurality of segments, defining a plurality of interconnected 2-port elements based on the plurality of fluid dynamics models, estimating a second pressure measurement for the gas cylinder based on the plurality of interconnected 2-port elements, comparing the first pressure measurement to the second pressure measurement, and determining that the first sensor is in an anomalous state.

Filtering the output signal includes integrating the time continuous signal to form an integrated signal, sampling the integrated signal, for each sample, forming an average value from the current sample and a previous sample, and forming a filtered time continuous signal from the average values. The method also includes providing the filtered time continuous signal to a second subsystem simulating a second physical system. A system for performing the method is also provided.

    摘要: A ranking module determines N ranking values for N predetermined cylinder activation/deactivation sequences of an engine, respectively. N is an integer greater than or equal to two. A cylinder control module, based on the N ranking values, selects one of the N predetermined cylinder activation/deactivation sequences as a desired cylinder activation/deactivation sequence for cylinders of the engine. The cylinder control module also: activates opening of intake and exhaust valves of first ones of the cylinders that are to be activated based on the desired cylinder activation/deactivation sequence; and deactivates opening of intake and exhaust valves of second ones of the cylinders that are to be deactivated based on the desired cylinder activation/deactivation sequence. A fuel control module provides fuel to the first ones of the cylinders and disables fueling to the second ones of the cylinders.

One or more parameters for the inferential sensor module are calibrated using one or more of engine measurement data and the engine simulation model.     摘要: The present invention provides a process for reducing abnormal combustion within a combustion chamber of the engine. The process can include simulation of the piston-driven internal combustion engine with oil droplets from the crankcase entering into the combustion chamber. In addition, the oil drops entering into the combustion chamber can be simulated as hot spots, as can simulation of fuel combustion within the combustion chamber. A probability of pre-ignition for at least a portion of the simulated hot spots as a function of the simulated fuel combustion and the simulated hot spots within the combustion chamber can be calculated and based on the calculation a combustion chamber parameter can be altered such that pre-ignition within the combustion chamber is reduced.

    摘要: A variable resistor network has a coarse resistance network and a fine resistance network connected in series with the coarse network. The coarse resistance network comprises a chain of series-connected resistors any one or more of which may be switched out of the series by individual parallel-connected relays. The fine network comprises a shunt resistor together with a fixed resistor and a series-connected adjustable resistor together connected in parallel with the shunt resistor. A control circuit is arranged to control the relays for the switching of the resistors of the coarse network and also to control adjustment of the adjustable resistor. A chosen resistance value can be set by appropriate switching of the coarse network and adjustment of the adjustable resistor.
